Please post a picture of the ring that the free slave labor gave you, he did give you a ring didn’t he?

Well, if he did, please tell me what I am doing wrong. All I get is pecan gunk blown off my roof, a new front faucet, weeds sprayed, a watermelon, a garden cart, a pole trimmer, and a stainless steel utility cart.

Thank you for reporting...I had been praying that he was not an axe murderer.

I'm doing something wrong. I didn't just want the cart. I wanted him to use his skill set to reconfigure it into a "grow cart" with a grow lamp on top. Now, it's just "parked" by the grow lamp with my laundry piled up on it.

And the garden cart..I had to put it together, and then gripe at him to come tighten all the bolts and nuts because I didn't know where my sockets and wrenches are.

Maybe I am being a little mean as he did put in new hot water heaters here & over at my Mom's too. And the weeds he sprayed were at my Mom's house, not mine.

I uncovered the corn today to fertilize and hill up for the first time. They could be knee high by the 4th of June…

He thinks that you are smart enough to put your own grow cart and garden carts together.
Have you cooked for him yet? Just one dish?

OK, I'll tell you a bit about him so you won't worry and no, there is no ring.

He is an earth physics/geologist and knows how mechanical and electronic gadgets, big and small, work. He knows how to survive as he has been all over the world doing earth seismic work in dire and dangerous places, including on ships in the area where the pirates are who attack ships. He was the master scientist on these searches for oil around the world.

He thinks you guys are hilarious thinking he could be an ax murderer. He has a great sense of humor. He is a kind person and most definitely a conservative.

He called after he got home and said he should have stayed to help me transplant those tomatoes because the pots will be too heavy for me to carry once the soil is in them. That caring is better than a ring - a ring can't carry pots. He is about six feet tall with big chest and strong arms - excellent slave labor. :o)

He has an SUV, a truck, AND a Class A RV - think BUS, as in BIG bus with a house in it and a side part that slides out to make the living room larger. So, he has wheels that should be acceptable to you, rightly.

He mixes several types of coffee beans to make his own blend. Now, that ability is worth gold.

So quit worrying. I won't have to support him, okay? Plus, we aren't together yet. We have the same likes and dislikes, and that is a beginning.

“I did have my shovels and a tarp ready though, in case you called. ;)”

I told him you said that. He had a big laugh. If I was where he is, I think I would be close to you.

Your pics (except dead moles) are so beautiful. Could you post some horrible crop failure, or insect damage, or something so the rest of us won’t feel so inferior.

Yes. I've done that...and I take his dog to the Sonic for a foot long coney, plain and dry sometimes, too. He never takes his dog to the Sonic drive through, but now his dog barks whenever they drive past it.

Now that’s funny. I found out that when my wife takes her puppy with her to work for whatever reason, dr. groomer, etc, she takes her out to eat. She gets a nugget combo meal, hold the drink, so they give her extra nuggets in place of the drink. lol I don’t even take myself out to eat, much less take the dogs with me.

I harvested some green manure (grass clippings) yesterday and layered them in the compost pile. As of 0800, when the National Anthem played over at the base, the compost pile was at 150F. Those microbes are certainly having a party.

It's Memorial Day. Remember our fallen.

sockmonkey amazes me because she can do so much, do big projects I could never do. The gunsmith has been coming around for while and helping her with this or that or buying her this and that. I think with just one word of encouragement from sockmonkey, she’d have another mouth to feed at her house and free slave labor.

The secret is bungee cords..Those projects that call for two people and some common sense, I just substitute the "two people" part with bungee cords. I haven't found a substitute for common sense yet..maybe construction glue or zip ties would work for that.
