In March of 2010, my husband had a pacemaker/defibrillator inserted because of congestive heart failure. Initially, he felt wonderful, but over the course of two weeks, he started to go downhill, not wanting to eat and not getting out of bed. He wouldn’t go to the hospital. On April 8th, he was rushed to the local hospital where his heart dr patted my hand and sadly shook his head. He believed there was little hope. Husband was life-flighted to a larger hospital 50 miles away. They found that the pacemaker they had inserted was contaminated and he had infection throughout his body. He was in the hospital for weeks. Meanwhile, many many people were praying for him. I sat next to his bed and prayed my rosary. He was almost put on dialysis because his kidneys were failing, but one dr decided that they would wait just one more day. The next day, his kidneys inexplicably started to work again. After that, he slowly started to make a recovery. The day before he was discharged, his doctor came in to talk to us. He said my husband should not have survived and the only explanation was ‘Divine Intervention’.

I have no doubt of that whatsoever.

In June, he was up, recovering, and driving again. As we were going past a local shopping center, a woman turned into our path and we couldn’t stop in time. We hit her broadside and both cars were totaled. Miraculously, nobody was hurt. She said she had no idea why she turned in front of us the way she did. The police told us she admitted it was her fault. And you know what? After almost losing my husband, two smashed vehicles simply did not matter any more. We three - me, my husband and that woman - all survived. Almost losing my husband put everything in perspective. LIFE is much more precious!

God has truly been good to us!

On a very steep country road my son ,a new driver, slid his car of a 200 foot sheer cliff only to have his rear axle hooked by a one inch diameter piece of rebar that had a hook bent in it. There was no construction within 2 miles of the incident. He hung there about 20 feet down the cliff. It was so steep he could no climb back up.

I can predict one will happen in a couple hours.....Jesus will work through my priest at Mass and the bread and wine will be changed into His Body and Blood and talk about a “bam”....He’s right there and I’m on my knees of course, unworthy.

I’ve always felt that the fact that Ebola Reston didn’t affect humans was a miracle; a direct intervention from God’s hand.

I work in health care and I have seen several and heard about a couple. Took care of a young person in a car wreck. Had had bilateral bone removed on both sides of his head to relieve pressure from swelling. Not a bright out. One doc I worked with said he is “f**ked”. Well he was discharged and back in college. Then there was the traffic accident when a mysterious priest showed up ( since indentifyed) who prayed for a young women dying. Very strange circumstances. After the priest prayed equipment started working and the young lady (19 years old) survived.

Read about Joan of Arc. 17 year old peasant girl illiterate takes command of the French army (which was in shambles) and time after time defeats the English. Then defeats some of the best English minds. Mark Twain even wrote a sympathetic story of her llfe. Read about Bernadette of Lourdes and her body. Read about the DOCUMENTED HEALINGS at Lourdes.

These past few years I’ve faced miserable circumstances, seriously, life is not peaches and cream. But I have found so much strength from all of you... I have struggled, I’ve faced a lot, and it’s been painful to no end. But over the years my FReep family has kept me level, in a network of like minded friends. I love you all — you are my miracle! I thank God I found you!

If you saw a Miracle, one from God, then the Bible is not complete.

I guess miracles are different things to different people.

I have twins who are now 27 - boy and girl. My daughter has always been the perfect child. No problems - MBA, married. Her twin brother, however, was the opposite. In trouble since he was little. He has given me many sleepless nights.

About six years ago my daughter was flying back from California with a friend after a summer mission trip. As she sat down on the plane, the woman next to her asked if she had a brother who she prayed for a lot. She said yes. She had never seen this woman or her husband and had not been talking about her brother so the woman didn’t overhear anything. She told my daughter that God told her to tell her He was going to bring him back. Told her she and her husband were youth leaders at that church (I think somewhere in Tx.). My daughter had just taken motion sickness medicine and told her she would soon be asleep so she didn’t talk to her any more.

About 7 or 8 months ago my son was drunk and trying to cross a very busy street at about 11 pm. He was hit by a car doing 45 mph (not speeding). When we got word, my daughter and I rushed to the hospital, expecting to see him in ICU if he was still alive. When we arrived, he was in an ER room and talking. He just had some cuts and his knee and ankle hurt but no other injuries. They released him. The nurse said it was a miracle that he was not killed. There have been quite a few pedestrians killed on the same road.

He is now in a Christian rehab facility in Boone, NC and set to “graduate” at the end of this month. I am praying hard that this is his turning point and that God did indeed “bring him back”. Was it a “miracle” that God put that woman on the same plane with my daughter to give us a message of hope? Was it a “miracle” that my son survived an accident that should have killed him? Is it a “miracle” that my church was able to get my son into rehab that is Christ-centered? It is to me.

Ditto on that. The Moon. They keep looking for planets, like our Earth, “out there”, and sometimes think they find one. Well, that planet had better have a Moon just like ours. Earth, Sun, Moon,........... a Trinity.

I had something happen once, and I know of another. I don’t know if they qualify as miracles, or just divine occurrences (not sure if there’s a difference).

Several years ago, I started having heart palpitations. I don’t like going to doctors, and having to go for that issue scared me. The morning of the appointment, I was really apprehensive. I prayed..told God I couldn’t stand being so nervous all day, and asked Him for comfort.

The words were not completely out of my mouth when I was hit-—overcome-—by a huge wave of warmth and utter peace. “Wave” is the only way I know to describe it because it swept over me, hard but not in a bad way. Just like that, all the nerves were gone, and I stayed wrapped up in that cocoon of warmth and peace all day. I know it was the Holy Spirit, and I’ll never forget it.

The palps were due to overindulgence of coffee, BTW.

The other incident involved my husband’s aunt (by marriage). One evening she was working late downtown, and when she went to the parking garage for her car, she was confronted by a thug with a knife. This lady is a very devout Christian, and she just started praying...out loud.

The guy started towards her, and suddenly he stopped in his tracks. She said he was staring up into the air behind her, and his eyes bugged out in fright. She glanced around and up.....nothing there. But the thug was frozen in apparent terror, shaking all over. He couldn’t take his eyes off that empty spot in the air. Finally he turned around and ran out of the garage.

She never saw anything, but she believes it was an angel, sent in response to her prayer.

I am Buddhist. The unfolding of karma often gives rise to appearances of miraculous synchronicity. This has happened so many times in my life that it occurs to me that it is all a miracle, one constant, ongoing miracle, if one must use that word.

There are of a lot of ways the devil explains away what the God of the Bible does, and I have to say that is one of them. But the most essential miracle is being born again thru earnest contrite faith in the risen Lord Jesus.

I had just moved to a new city, taken a new job. My company had folded, and after seeking work for months, I sold just the house I grew up in, left the friends I had known for 40 years to take a job 1000 miles away.
I was sitting in the parking lot at McDonalds eating a 99 cent cheeseburger for lunch - yeah, money was tight. I was feeling very sorry for myself. Suddenly a face appeared in the window. It was a fellow about my age. “Sorry to bother you, buddy, but I’m out of work, lost my apartment, and haven’t eaten in three days. You got anything to help a brother in need?”
I sighed. His situation was not that much different from mine just a few weeks previously. I could give him money, yes, but how could I help him?
“Sure I can”, I said. “I been out of work myself, but just moved to town, and I’m doing OK now. I don’t mind a bit, because it’s not my money, it’s God’s, and everything I have has been a gift from him, and we are to help each other.”
I reached into my billfold, and my heart sank. All I had was a $20 bill. That was supposed to be my lunch budget for the month. But I had given my word...
“Brother, this is all I have right now. I don’t care what you spend it on, and I don’t want to know. I just give it to you on the condition that you save $2 as a tithe, and make sure you find yourself in Church on Sunday, and you put those $2 in the collection plate, to glorify God.”
His eyes got big, and he grabbed my head between his hands and kissed me on the forehead! He took the money and was gone.
I hung my head and prayed. “Oh God, I must have sounded like an idiot to this guy. I hope I did the right thing.”
Suddenly I heard him shout, “THANK YOU JIM, GOD BLESS YOU!”
I was stunned. How did he know my name? I jumped out of my car. He was NOWHERE to be seen - not in the parking lot - not in the McDonalds.
I still get chills to this day relating this incident.
Hebrews 13:2 “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers; for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.”

Don’t be critical when he/she needs prayers. A lot of them. I really feel sorry for anyone who do not believe in God.

I do not know how to classify this. I was visiting my brother and his family in my hometown. We were talking about our parents. He said our dad was often called to the homes of very sick people. He would stand in the doorway to their bedroom and look at the sick person. He then would tell the family how long they would live. He was always right. How did he do that? There are many things I do not understand.

One was a particular providential miracle, that of a Pentecostal German man walking up to me in the airport (1994) and placing $200 in my hand, after we had prayed to God to show us if He really wanted to us to go to Florida (as it seemed the Lord had said) to outreach during the Winter (we did, and lived out of a van).

Which lead to a miracle of healing of a hernia, which i got from lifting hickory wood the wrong way (spirit was willing, but the flesh then was too weak). It was bad enough that i had to lay down for it to recede after lifting even approx 30lbs, unless i was very careful (use legs), likewise shoveling snow.

After about 5 years, while in Florida i went to a church in Plantation, i think it was called Good News, and after the service the pastor said if anyone needed healing to come up for prayer. I did, and without any fanfare a couple quietly prayed form me, and i never had a problem with it since.

After healing, i have many times out shoveled all others on my block, praise God,, and at 5.5, 130lbs have lifted, by God's grace and with one friend on the back end, a very heavy extra capacity washing machine (w/ some water in it) from the basement to the 2nd floor, as well as large gas stoves and refers refer up two floors (help on the back end for those), and dug up about 80' x 20' of rocky grass covered land with a pitchfork (broke thrice) to make a garden, so i thank God He heals!

Well Peter was able to walk on the water, as long as he kept his eyes on Jesus...as soon as the wind blew and he lost his focus, he began to sink. Yet Jesus, not a mental construct reached out and pulled him up and together they walked. Christianity is a faith whose object exists as a Godhead; or 3 person in one consciousness separate to our own. Your type of Buddhism offers the expectancy of hope without it’s object! Christ is our resurrection and our life! Our ultimate goal is not extinction of our individual consciousness or it’s presumed delusion which is said to cause suffering but rather the preservation of each of our individual consciousnesses as Sons of God.

“Deep calls to deep” as the Old Testament says...God calls into each of us in the hope that we will call back into him! Revelation says of Christ: “ I stand at the door and knock, that whosoever will open the door, I will come in and sup with him and he with Me!” God has his consciousness and we each have our own but he has promised to share himself with us. Buddhism especially the intellectual “zen” types can only offer a kind of “side stepping” regarding the questions of transcendence and eternity, living in the expectancy of hope without any of hope of gaining its object...kind of like the fly which forever flies around a light source but finds he can never join with it! If it be a candle flame, beware as the wings will be singed by it!
