Hooray!

Maria Bartiromo and gang were just discussing "Economic Patriotism" on her Fox News Channel show "Sunday Morning Futures".

I couldn't believe it. FINALLY.

Way to go. Much more conservatives need to climb on board this important topic.

Economic Patriotism ???

To me that phrase has the same ring as 'social justice' and 'environmental justice'.

How long till Economic Patriotism will be codified as in Atlas Shrugged ???

Don’t get me started in Atlas Shrugged.

We have already sent a huge section of American industry to a massive communist nation.

Don’t get me started. Don’t go there. I read Atlas Shrugged and believed in it, but the world is completely over Atlas Shrugged.

China is now the topic. China is taking over American industry.

That is the topic, not “Atlas Shrugged”.

That is so one generation ago. Going on two now.

I think there’s a re-run of her show on the Fox Business Network later today. Maybe that will give you a clearer picture of “Economic Patriotism”.

I didn’t think you “misrepresented” what the show was about .. but I also wanted to challenge you because I heard it differently. I’m not offended, and you shouldn’t be.

You are missing the background and the CAUSE that makes companies leave the US.

That would require thought on his part, instead of slogans.

Companies are being overtaxed and overregulated

He likes the regulations and taxes, otherwise he'd push for their repeal, instead of just slogans.

As long as the basic environment of the country is anti-business, which inhibits profits and capital accumulation, with high taxes, too many regulations, hatred of the rich, budget deficits, government spending, and inflation...

Perhaps then economic patriotism can be explained as the repudiation of all that.

Economic patriotism is the desire to have the strongest economic growth and freedom possible for our country.

I’m just very glad, a major American news channel has a significant show, which dared mention this.

Our system is currently ... well it is messed up.

We need to bring back American industry. We need to begin talking about how. Now.

China is rapidly growing. We need to COMPETE. Not sell out to China. America needs to compete.

Competition does not involve sending our own industry to another nation.

America we need to re-focus on America.

That is a huge point. Nobody is doing so. That is a big, big problem.

I am very glad a show such as Maria’s dared to mention this.

More may follow.

Good job Maria. Very well done.

>America needs to wake the heck up, and bring back American industry.<

.
America will not wake up any time soon — it has invested in the dream industry (immigration) and it is living on borrowed time when it continues to allow the uncontrolled immigration of the West’s greatest enemy, Islam.

Only a calamity of national proportion will wake it up.

That calamity's power is nothing compared to just uttering mindless words.

Jobs will come back as long as we ask them too.

Like a dog, just whistle and a job returns.

Who are you asking to bring back American jobs....the government?

Government does not create jobs, private entrepreneurs create jobs....One can’t simply wave a magic wand and demand someone create a job.

Actually the president is the LAST person I want involved in this.

What I am saying is conservatives are completely absent on this topic.

WE are selling out our own nation. We need to stand up strongly for America.

How I don’t know. I have my own opinions, but I’m not as big on those as I am on bringing back jobs.

What I am strongly saying, is we need to do something.

Big. Right now.

“How are the workers in Detroit going to pay your salary if you don’t buy the cars they make”?...35 years ago I quit buying American cars because the Unions wouldn’t pay my repairs, replacement costs or anything else associated with my American car. American cars suck. Period. The workers in Detroit NEVER paid my salary, either.

I disagree.

I have bought American cars now for the last 10 years.

Absolutely zero problems. Not one.

economic patriotism

What does that mean?

It is NOT patriotic to pay ridiculous tax rates. It is not conservative to run a business and lose money.

So what I am saying is, as conservatives, it is our job to change that.

We are not supposed to build up Communist China.

We are supposed to build up America, to be the strongest darned nation in the world.

Build up America. But do it by making American businesses very profitable.

But ... and this is very important: focus on America.

Stop selling out our own nation!!!

Eliminate corporate taxes. Eliminate business and capital gains taxes. Cut the federal busy bodies back to a stump. That should do it.
