Two pit bulls were shot on a walking trail near Slidell after they attacked a woman and her miniature collie Wednesday morning, authorities said. The woman was taken to a hospital with bite wounds to her left arm and left leg, and her dog was transported to a local veterinary clinic to be treated for its wounds.
One of the attacking pit bulls was killed by a gunshot and the other was wounded and later euthanized due to the extent of its injuries and the fear that it may attack again, according to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office.

Fortunately a neighbor heard her screaming and shot the dogs. It could have been worse if not for an armed citizen.
No, I have maximum security and pop-up blocker on. Notifications on the pop-ups blocked or asking are what’s slowing it down. There are too many to count.

St. Tammany is heavily republican. CCW holders are common. Since this is Slidell, it was probably one of the recent migrants from the failed city of New Orleans with the pit bulls.
They’ve been a problem lately. About a month back they tried the classic 30 man brawl at a hang out location forgetting that in St. Slammany the STPSO rolls in with as many men they can assemble and they will handcuff you and throw you on the ground no matter how chummy you are with Eric Holder.
That would have been the Cheddars brawl.

Recognize the name of the 22 year old employee arrested for fighting at Cheddars? Apparently he owned 2 pit bulls who liked to fight.
Amazing that I made the reference before learning that.
We seem to be getting these pit bull attack stories more than once a week now.

There are just to many stories of people out for a walk and they cross paths with this engineered species. If you criticize these animals and call for their elimination, you get slammed by people who claim that they are loving dogs, raised wrong or some other argument.
Well this doesn’t happen with Irish Setters or the other many dogs people have.
I like the apologists who claim that toy breeds are responsible for more bites than pit bulls. While that May or may not be true, I can’t think of a single toy breed that could rip your arm clear out of the socket like happened to a jogger attacked by one of these pit bulls. I won’t ride my bike in my neighborhood because there are so many of these dogs that get dumped at the end of the culdesac near here.the worst offenders are the college kids who, for some reason, must “save” a dog from the pound. A dog that they don’t have enough time for. And the puppy might be sweet and lovely...but when these breeds reach about two years of age, they turn. I’ve seen it happen over and over. Then they get dumped in the desert or back at the pound.
