How Your Cereal Causes Climate Change

One of the world's largest food companies says it's about to take a big bite out of global warming.

General Mills, maker of Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Wheaties, said Monday that it will set a target to limit air pollution throughout its entire supply chain next summer.

This marks the first time the food giant has pledged to measurably rein in greenhouse-gas emissions from its agricultural suppliers of ingredients like soy and sugarcane.

Environmental watchdogs say the effort is significant. According to Oxfam, air pollution created by the agricultural industry makes up a quarter of total greenhouse-gas emissions worldwide.

The targets will be unveiled in August 2015, at which point GM will announce when they will take effect. The standards will align with the goal of keeping a rise in global temperatures below 2 degrees Celsius, a benchmark that scientists say is necessary to avoid the most devastating impacts of global warming.

General Mills must be aching to go bankrupt.

How Your Cereal Causes Climate Change

I wouldn't have thought that it could, but apparently it causes stupidity, so who knows?

Henceforth all General Mills employees will tested for the amount of CO2 they expel while breathing.

I stopped eating cereal decades ago. It’s not substantial enough by itself for me to make it to lunch or do any physical work. It’s too bulky if you add it to something that is worth eating. Cereal is a total waste as a food product.

Hey, you underestimate the mindset of LIBERALS. It is cold cereal that you have to take with milk. That leads to cows, which leads to passed gas. And they have already said one of the major causes of our doom is the methane passed from cows. So between the cooking of the cereal at the manufacturer and the f#rts of the cows, we are $%$%$% (I was going to say toast but that brings in coal, electricity, wheat, racist comments, etc., etc. I have learned my lesson) doomed.

That means we can only eat raw seaweed for breakfast. Yum Yum!!! (not).

I see I’m going to have to school you, son.

General Mill is pro gay. Pro gays embrace global warming. It’s all tied together in their marxist, pinko, commie world. They are tied together. Joined at the hips. Pigs in mud.

I’ll bet my retirement that every company that embraces this crap will be pro-gay. Watch.

OK!! Everybody pay attention!

Lesson for today:

1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.

2. The sun is a ball of fire that controls the climates of all its planets.

3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.

4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.

5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

I agree - I live in Battle Creek - Kelloggs and Post make their cereal here. I don’t buy any of it — so expensive and it just makes me hungrier after eating it. Much better to make my own granola that is much more substantial. There is a lot of air pollution here, too, but also a nice smell when they are baking the frosted flakes ;)

I expect to see advertisements of Toucan Sam saying that clear-cutting the rainforest will lead to the rest of the rainforest being flooded. They will probably start having the Cookie Crisp mascot use “environmentally-friendly” means to steal the cookies from the kids.

Wait, if normal humans are less-than-specks, wouldn't that make Congressmembers less-than-less-than-less-than-less-than-less-than-less-than-specks? I mean, like speck feces?

Illegal aliens cause global warming. Their entire reason for coming to the US is specifically to increase their carbon foot print.

Nothing says Global Warning like a Detroit-area high in the 60s on July 28.
