As Cincinnati Bengals defensive lineman Devon Still reports for training camp, his mind is elsewhere.
What the 25-year-old Still found out on June 2 changed his outlook on the game of football and life: His 4-year-old daughter had been diagnosed with Stage IV cancer.

Many prayers and thoughts to his family. Looking at those pictures sure brought back memories of my little boy’s 8 month fight with leukemia. These kids are very special and very brave. They end up comforting the parents at times lifting them up. It’s a day by day and sometimes minute by minute second by second. I understand the emotional roller coaster some days are good some days are bad, but I never let Timmy see me breakdown. It did not end well for us. Timmy died at 12:00 am on June 25 1992.
My prayer for this beautiful little girl Leah is to beat this monster with God’s grace and mercy.

Adorable little girl. :-) Mr. Still seems like a wonderful father. Children are stronger and tougher than us grownups. Praying now for his daughter’s health.
