The women don't seem to want help. They appear to want to continue doing what they do without harassment.

You have to wonder what got this row started. Did the pastor come home late one night with traces of body glitter on his clothes, smelling suspiciously of cucumber-melon?
The bar has very little power to make the women do anything the women don't feel like doing.
Topless dancing is one of those things where the dancer can go to another bar and start dancing there the same day, whether because the manager of the old place pissed her off, or because she thinks she can make more money at the new place.
Yeh, one bottle at a time!
I know a guy who used to manage “high class” strip clubs in New York. (If there is such a thing as “high class” strip clubs.) Anyway, he said the women are skanks. Said he wouldn’t touch one with a ten foot poll, much less a ...... I’ll end this post right there.

I once went to a large topless bar in Anchorage. It was a slow Sunday night so there were only 48 girls working. One woman, dressed in a neat pantsuit, kept track of the girls, making sure they all took their turns on stage. We struck up a conversation and she told me that most of the girls were single moms or married to enlisted men from one of the two military bases. She emphasized that none of them doubled as prostitutes or that they indulged in “hard” drugs. Every one of them took frequent drug tests and if they were caught selling themselves for sex they would be immediately fired and blackballed in Alaska. Since they made such good money (about $700 a night) they were very conscientious about following the rules.
Since then my wife and I had a stripper living with us for a few months. She had no drug problems (except tobacco,) no children and any sex abuse was probably initiated by her. (She was kinda horny!) All in all she was a pretty neat young lady. These days she does have a baby (by choice) and a job in an office environment. I’m really glad to have met her.

That church did well by the one stripper it led to a better life. Maybe they can do more now that the strippers have come to the church itself.
