” After first, I’ll admit, I loved seeing the perps get tased, or seeing the canines turned loose on them. Now I watch though, and I almost feel sorry for some of them. Yes, they made bad decisions along the way—yes, they sought the “easy way out,” either through making money illicitly, or chose to escape reality by getting involved with drugs.
But I look at these people, grown men and women, still acting like little children. They don’t take responsibility for their actions.”
They don’t take responsibility for their actions because they’re sociopaths; those who do unto others things that they would not tolerate having done to them.
I was living with a woman who had her grown son move in with us 2 years ago — and I left when he was taken away in handcuffs for the 4th time. He was clinically diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder — i.e. a flaming @sshole.
He had no conscience, no empathy and neither the capacity to take responsibility for his own behavior nor a willingness to accept consequences. Ever.
This is why I say Michael Brown was a sociopath. When the store clerk followed him and was saying something to him after he snatched merchandise right in front of him, he was outraged that someone would dare to even suggest limitations/consequences.
And then soon afterward, he got himself killed — likely for the same reason.
So I don’t share a shred of your sympathy; I am at war with the @ssholes of the world, in fact. Not enough of them are being Tazed or shot. And the ones who toss flowers in the street for such people are even bigger @ssholes.

Its just the word COPS, not an acronym C.O.P.S.
I know that, but that’s how it is on the logo.

There are sociopaths in our society - therefore we have guns and must continue to have guns.

On a business trip, a co-worker and I were discussing COPS. I said that as long as you didn’t have a mullet, weren’t wearing a white tank top undershirt, weren’t accuse of beating your wife and weren’t in Las Vegas, you were ok.
A few hours later, I’m in my hotel room and turned on the tv. COPS was on. First thing I saw was a guy with a mullet and a white tank top. The officer was telling him he had to quit beating up on his wife. Camera pulls back and sure enough, it was a Las Vegas police car.

I’ve noticed for some time now that most people who get in trouble with the law are black.

My biggest takeaway from the show...
If you do find yourself in the position of running from the police and you get away, even briefly, don’t stop and hide - just keep running.
If you stop, you’ll get caught in a perimeter and they will find you. If they don’t, the dogs they’ll bring in will.
At least if you keep running, you have a chance of getting outside the search perimeter.

Button your lips, don't talk without an attorney present. I'm amazed at how many of them so freely give up their rights. Answering questions, willingly submitting to searches of their person or vehicle, and allowing themselves to be "detained" (with handcuffs or in a police car), before being arrested.
I fully support police officers and what they do, but I would not offer any of that, on principal.

The coolest episode was probably the one they shot in Russia back in the 90's. Some guy in Moscow had picked-up a hooker and taken her back to his place. She of course tried to steal his wallet. So he locked her in the bedroom, still naked, and called the Militsya.
They arrived and he escorted the officers and camera crew into the apartment. He opened the bedroom door. They walked in where the woman was cowering under the covers. He yanked them off of her and revealed her lying naked on the bed (blurred out of course).
He shouted something at her in Russian.
The translation subtitle read, "Americans here to see you!"

I know you all know that once something is repeated enough, lie or not, many people start to think its true. Thanks

“Ive noticed for some time now that most people who get in trouble with the law are black.”
It is actually not most, but blacks are certainly over-represented with respect to crime in terms of population percentage.
I discuss why this is here:

I can’t remember the date, but I stopped watching during the OJ trial. There appear to be more of us than I’d have thought. I just read now.

A lot of times you can tell what actually happened based upon what the media does NOT say. excellent observation!
