Yesterday at the DFW airport. It was strikingly difficult to talk to the Pakistani women selling food, with their head coverings, OBVIOUSLY pious Muslims. And turning around were Muslim Women with head coverings removing trash. I just WISH someone had the testicular power to tell these women if they want to work at an AIRPORT where travelers are sensitive about Muslim people that blow up things, they need to REMOVE their coverings, or go work at the local dry cleaning shop, or sell used tires. But to put them in the AIRPORTS knowing that all of the things that get blown up are being done by women and men that have these head coverings.

I was at DFW airport and talked with a Somali woman who was Muslim (from the head covering and clothing). She said had been in the USA for 3 weeks and started one week later working at the airport. (it was a food service location in terminal B)

I have been very close to making comments to these covered women whenever and wherever I see them. I agree, they do not belong at airports. Don’t we have enough Americans unemployed who could use these jobs?
This is multicultural immersion to quell your fears. Enough of it and you will be more accepting of their increasing numbers. Funny. Someone actually thinks this will fly. No pun intended.

There is no place for veils, burkas or nidabs in ANY civilized country. Period. If they want to wear those stay in a Muslim country. There is a huge difference between a crucifix or Buddhist charm on a necklace and the way Muslim women dress.
This is especially true since the reason the Koran says they need to dress this way is because Islam teaches that all men are rapist and so women have to cover up to prevent men around them from being tempted. I am insulted by the Islamic view that I am an unrepentant, and incurable pervert.

She was hired overseas and brought here to work. Either that or it’s a refugee thing. There’s no way an average Somali can immigrate here legally without some pull.
Plenty of the companies hire overseas and bring in people on special work visa. They list here and never find anyone ‘qualified’, ahem.
