Things like this sometimes make me wish I was a jailer.

They probably will. Prisoners have a better sense of the word “justice” than our “judicial” system does. Starvation is a horrific way to die, and the baby was totally helpless. He depended upon those who were supposed to love and protect him, and they “didn’t want him”.

And the heart of an earthworm.

Earthworms have five hearts. These people have none.

I was a jailer (correctional officer) As much as we would like to do something, we could not. In the case of these nerds, they will probably be in permanent protective custody, so the other inmates can’t touch them either.

I believe in the death penalty....that's what they need to do to this scum...some people just don't deserve to live.

It’s not up to correctional officers to see that justice is done. It’s judges and juries. And they constantly fail.

Yep. They fail a lot, but it was our job to keep them locked up.

Well, if a judge tells you to let a rapist go, you cannot do much unless you want to end up in the rapist’s place. Plus, unlike the jailscum you watched over, I assume you respect the rule of law.

Yes. It was not easy sometimes, but we did what we had to do. A lot of times, it was better not to know what they were in for.
