Did our parents (in many cases grandparents) forget Pearl Harbor? Before that was the SS Lusitania & the Zimmerman Telegram. Before that was the USS Maine and the Alamo and the shot heard ‘round the world.
9/11 was unforgettable. I woke up just in time to see the second plane crashing into the tower on the screen behind Peter Jennings. So hard for your mind to process such shocking events.
I couldn’t forget if I tried. I watched Muslim terrorists on live TV turn a section of Uptown Manhattan into a Smoking crater. I also saw that day one side of the Pentagon turned into a charnel house. Never forget.

I was at the grocery store and watched it on the television set in the deli department.
There was a time when anniversaries of such events were marked with some sort of observance. Future generations also learned about them in school.
Today, these events are largely ignored. In some schools history isn’t even taught, or if it is, it is spun by teachers indoctrinated by communists. 9/11 is now the fault of the US and the Muslims are peaceable folks who mean us no harm.
Watch as ISIS has something planned to remind us. They will not forget and may make this a holiday to honor their greatest victory over the Great Satan. Coming on the heels of the lackluster speech of Obama-—Its going to be a scary day—I am not planning on taking a plane, Train, bus, or subway on this day. SOMETHING WILL HAPPEN!
It is not a bleeping Day of Service.
It is a day of remembrance, a day forever to be mourned. We mourn all whom we lost, and we mourn the innocence of this country. We commemorate the heroes who arose that day.
9/11 changed us forever. There should be more on TV about it. Everyone needs to see and think and cry. Every year.
Lots of folks went home to get a TV set and they all called the radio shop (me) to get them working.
I remember most the people in the streets around the world celebrating the attacks on America. America experienced her share of people in the streets celebrating the attacks on America also that day. Wake Up Call of all Wake Up Calls. Thirteen years into this War, America and America’s Children are more vulnerable to an attack on America’s soil more than ever before. The warnings have not been heeded. Few to none have stood up to state the warnings to the public and the media has ignored mostly any and all threats. Sad Sad Day 911 was and is. Prayers for No Repeat!
America experienced her share of people in the streets celebrating the attacks on America also that day.
I don’t remember a one. I think you are mixed up on that one.
Anyone on American streets celebrating the attacks would have been beaten....or worse.
Little to nothing was made public.
Then that explains no beatings. There must have only been very few.
I saw it too and I’ll never forget. Not to be a stickler FRiend but the Trade Center was lower Manhattan. 9/11. Never Forget. And Never Forgive.
moslems had a tendency to congregate in certain areas before 911. After 911 moslems branch out and moved into all 48 continental states. Every state currently has more than one moslem community. Before 911 moslems limited themselves to many yet a smaller number of locals. That pattern of limiting themselves to many yet a smaller number of locals has changed. They are everywhere in all the 48 continental lower 48. Their numbers have grown. There are more safe houses. We are no longer at pre 911.
True enough. And there are sleeper cells mixed in with them.
They won’t enjoy playing Cowboys and Muslims.
Don’t really want to play but know is necessary if a truth is to be shared. None of what am typing is classified, maybe. What happened since 911 and what is happening is call the safety valve diplomacy. moslems are being allowed into the United States at ever increasing numbers moslems and people illegally coming are the preferred peoples that are welcomed. The diplomacy reference is called operation safety valve. Operation Safety Valve was put into place by those more intelligent than The People (aka Citizens) but don’t go looking for information it will be denied and one looking for information will be labeled a subversive. We could be about to find out if Operation Safety Valve was a success. Now to determine a success one has to be advised one may consider a success a success while another may consider what would be portrayed as success a failure. Soon the American People will view either a success or a failure. Success is, of course, in the eye of the beholder.
Thanks for that.
OK, lower Manhattan.
