I'm a dyed in the wool ditto-head and have been so for many years. To be honest, I'm finding you less and less "listenable." You seem to be losing your edge. While I download your podcasts, I more and more frequently find myself fast-forwarding past the lengthy spiels on the latest I-phones, sports happenings, and your winning your umpteenth Marconi Award, that is, when I bother to listen at all. Listening to your broadcast used to be the highpoint of everyday. I never thought I'd say this but I no longer count it a great lose if I go for days without listening. I'm heartsick to say it. Please don't think this is a plant or that I'm a seminar caller. Check it and you'd see that I've subscribed since the beginning. I may not do so any longer. Maybe it can be summed up like this: I used to find hope by listening to you but it seems like even you have lost hope. I could say more but won't, except for this: I'm a rock-ribbed, hard core, conservative listener and have been for years. If you've lost me, you've probably lost several thousands. For what it's worth......
Question. I missed his show the beginning of last week since I have was working. Did he ever address the Brett Baier Benghazi special about the men who said they were told to stand down?
:) I figured.
I am now “following” you. @donnaleern
Rush is brilliant, but if you have already been listening for a long time, then you probably know what he would say before he does. I’ve patronized him since near the beginning.
I think Rush is a great visionary, entertainer, political master and so forth. I respect, love and appreciate him.
I can also go a long time without listening because I get busy. I check him out in the car and sometimes at home, but I know for the most part what he will say.
After listening to him for so long, you can almost know what he will say anyway, so maybe you are just too familiar.
There is not a lot in the regular news about the Obama administration when it comes to misbehavior. Nobody treats a Watergate situation as such if a Democrat is in office.
Obama has been screwing up the nation. Using executive orders illegally. The IRS has been going after enemies of Democrats. There has been spying on reporters and so forth.
If this were George Bush you would be hearing a storm, but instead you are hearing nothing and with little in the news getting out there you have less to get into.
The press has turned everything out of this Administration into a Hillary “SO WHAT”!
Wikipedia . . .
“Umpteen is a term for an unspecified but reasonably large number, used in a humorous fashion or to imply that it is not worth the effort to pin down the actual figure.”
Sorry, but 5 is not ‘reasonably large’. ;-)
Meanwhile, 'ol Rushbo is wasting air time with discussions of his golf, the latest NFL stupidities, and wallowing in adulation from his gushing audience. Both Rush and Bill O'Reilly can't get enough worship to satisfy themselves.
Unfortunately, he has become as difficult as Hannity to listen to and even more boring...
I will defend your right to post anything you want, here or elsewhere.
Your posting just seemed to be recruiting like complainers (i.e. rationalize) to support what you clearly saw as going out on a limb.
Betcha Rush read the thread as he was right on the new kitty and NFL right out of the gate today.
The way I see Rush or similar, too much of a good thing is not always so good. Change the station be don’t turn off on him, he will still have more enlightening than the less serious.
Point taken. He can still deliver more cutting edge hard facts on a good day than the MSM can in a week.
True.
According to the definition, 5 could be considered incredibly small........Just sayin'........
Why are you following @SarahMichelleGG ? Who is that? That is not me. I have 24 followers and most must be inactive. :)
Oops!
you want euphoria.......a false quest.....but you chase that invisible dream.
Huh?
My comment was not about Rush's show, but a goof ball here on FR that thinks I care if HE is getting tired of Rush Limbaugh. Wow, what a subject matter, please.
And I learned at that time that Rush is pro-homosexual civil unions. This really surprised me and I was more than a little disappointed. I definitely cannot agree with him on this. But I chalked it up to the realization that I won’t always agree with every view of other conservatives, even with someone I regard highly like Rush Limbaugh. After all, look at Dick Cheney...he supports gay marriage!!
Yes, I agree. This was the final straw for me. The last couple of days he has gotten better...still discusses these things but not as much as the day you mentioned...maybe the message has filtered through...we’ll see. I look at it like this: I’m a paying customer. I pay a lot to subscribe to his website. I do this because I’ve always enjoyed his broadcasts in the past. They have been held up to be “cutting edge”...going where the MSM refuses to tread, and they generally were. But when he fills his broadcasts with nothing but cats, I-phones, Rice etc., then I feel like I’m being short-changed. Sort of like picking out a beef roast. I expect the lean meat to be balanced by SOME fat but if the roast has nothing but fat, someone else can buy the roast. And I’m sure that there are lots of listeners who are pet lovers or Apple products enthusiasts who are thrilled by these long monologues but I’m not one of them. More power to them. To me it is just a waste of time. That aside, he really hit Obama hard yesterday.
I don’t think I ever said that he needs to “spend 100% of his time talking about Obama.” The last thing I want to hear is Obama 24/7. But consider this: The elections are just around the corner and if the Republicans have a game plan to take back the Senate, I can’t discern it. I’d love to hear a good discussion of how they can take back the Senate and not rest on the assumption that it is a “done deal.” On one hand I’m afraid they will blow a golden opportunity but then on the other hand that it probably doesn’t matter if they DO win...they’ll be content to be punching bags for the Democrats. No, there are lots of things he can talk about vice frittering away three hours on Ray Rice, the NFL, his cat and the latest Apple products. I appreciate your loyalty to Rush...I’ve been loyal for a long time as well but please, get real.
But when a three hour broadcast is NOTHING but that...something is wrong. I can tolerate some of it but to me, it has largely become a waste of time. I’m sure he gets warm fuzzies from the pet lovers, the sports lovers, the I-phone lovers etc. until he thinks his whole audience is thrilled when he goes on a three hour spiel about nothing else. I pay a lot of good money to subscribe and have done so for years. But if a lot of people drop their subscriptions and his ratings start dropping because he no longer offers keen political insights that he is so well known for...we’ll see about “arguing with success.”
