LAPD officer defends handcuffing, detaining actress Daniele Watts amid controversy
The officer, Sgt. Jim Parker, said he didn’t expect the situation to escalate as quickly into a ‘long, drawn out drama.’

he police officer heard on tape demanding Daniele Watts' identification after she was detained in Studio City last week with her boyfriend says there was nothing racial about the incident.
Los Angeles Police Department Sergeant Jim Parker told the L.A. Times on Tuesday that the "long, drawn out drama" with the actress could have been over within minutes, but instead it escalated quickly.
"I figured I could take care of this call and go get coffee and that was it," Parker said.
Watts, who is best known for her roles in "Django Unchained" and on "Weeds," said she was wrongfully detained and handcuffed on Sept. 11 for making out with her boyfriend in their car. The actress and her boyfriend, celebrity chef Brian Lucas, both took to their Facebook pages accusing Parker and his colleagues of mistreatment, mistaking them for a prostitute and client, and racial bias — as Watts is black and Lucas is white.

This really ticks me off because when I lived in New York city cops use to card me all all all the time when I walked to work at night and I would always cooperate, even ask them how the job is going. No problem. But thanks to our first foreign born Islamo in the White house promoting racism “Trayvon is his son” everything is freakin’ racist anytime a cop tries to card a black. Look at this bitch with the crying act, give me a freakin’ break. Oh yes, you are JUST like a slave being oppressed by the evil white man. She wants to complain why don’t she complain to the person who called the cops?

She refused to show the officer any ID well guess what happens when you do that and the race card is of no use.

Looks like Sgt. Jim Parker is half Hispanic, or possibly Filipino, etc., but not 100% Caucasian so he can’t possibly be RACIST! /s
