That is along the lines of the guy gets pulled over by the cops at 1 AM and while standing there an accident happens across the street.
The cop says ‘stay there’ and goes to help with the accident.
The guy gets in his car and drives home, putting the car in the garage, as usual.
Couple hours later the cops are pounding on the door and the wife says “He is in bed and been there since 11PM”(as he had asked her to do)
Well, explain this - they go into the driveway and observe the police lights flashing on the car in the garage.
