Methinks the similar happens to women fairly frequently, and they are probably less blunt directly to those who have deceived them. Women’s meanness tends to vent in different directions than men’s.
If you’d read the whole article, you’d find a similar test was done of fat men for women.
Is it really that surprising that women are less aggressively nasty when meeting in person strange men they’ve met over the Internet?
She did not respect the men and their time.
She set up a date as a slim woman and then showed up fat. Did she expect to be treated respectfully for lying?

You’ve hit on what would have to be the opposite to get an equivalent response—though I suspect the women would still be outwardly more polite to the men—they just wouldn’t as likely go out again.
All this tells me is that to know what a man thinks when he is angered you only have to listen to him. To know what an angry woman thinks you have to listen in on her phone conversation to friends or monitor facebook and twitter.
To see whether men and women would react differently to an online date who showed up weighing a lot more than his or her profile.
The article clearly states that the test was done using both a slender woman and a slender man. There are videos showing the reaction of men to the 'fat' woman and of women to the 'fat' man.
In this small, unscientific sample, the men definitely acted more harshly to the 'fat woman' than the women did to the 'fat' man.
If someone were to tell me that the experiment was conducted intending to get these results and to trumpet that men are pigs, my reaction will resemble that of Captain Renault in Rick's Café Américain.

She deliberately misrepresented herself. If I were single and into internet dating, and some guy did the same, I’d be pretty ticked off myself.
Isn't lying even more classless?
What should the men do, send her roses and thank her for misleading them?
Isn’t Tinder a hookup website moreso than a “dating” page?
And what would her reaction be if some man did not disclose his beergut and double chin?
If she really wanted to prove her point (whatever it may be) she should do the same experiment where she sets up dates with lesbians. Photo as a cute petite femme and then arrives as a fat-suited cow.
