Florida quarterback Treon Harris is being investigated by university police for sexual battery after he was accused of sexually assaulting a female student in a residence hall early Sunday morning, the school announced Monday.
Harris has been indefinitely suspended from all team activities. Gainesville police are assisting campus police department in its investigation.

On one hand I don’t find it hard to believe that a young spoiled athlete from a thug culture is capable of sexual assault. On the other hand there have been plenty of cases of leftist administrators running roughshod over the rights of the accused in sexual assault cases. There has been no arrest and no charges but the university has, in a matter of hours, all but declared him guilty. Without a few more details I’m not sure what to think.

Already people saying he and the girl had several encounters before, and there may be jealousy involved. Might be best to see how this shakes out before jumping to any conclusions.

Nothing will come of it. He will be cleared by the police as the FSU quarterback was. By now, the Alumni. the Booster Club, etal have burned up the phone line to the Police Chief’s office informing him of how the investigation better turn out.
