a Dallas nurse who should have been in “self quarantine” heads off a on a CRUISE SHIP???
seriously!
oh we know - this is what the CDC called the “low risk” pool, the ones they are’t monitoring, the “low risk” pool that has produced both of the ebola nurses
wtf is wrong with the CDC??? and with the management of that dallas hospital????? the perfect storm of arrogance and idiocy
Quick! Put them on a bus. According to the Minister of Health and Propaganda, Dr. Frieden, you can’t catch Ebola from someone on a bus. Buses may be the key to stopping this thing.
And what would the logistics be to have this person actually tested for ebola infection? All the ripple effects from ONE ebola case in the US and our idiot ‘leader’ still refuses to restrict travel from west Africa.
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
WTF?
I think we need to retrain nurses on infectious disease protocols. Flying, going on cruses, while on the Ebola watch list?
Texas Preb. Hospital is done.
As usual early information is sometimes errant. Most articles say “no symptoms” “possible exposure” 19 days earlier.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2014/10/17/cruise-ship-carrying-texas-ebola-nurse-refused-entry-in-belize/
Yet one ore more say someone is showing symptoms. It is unusual to go more than 12 days from exposure/infection without showing symptoms, if actually infected.
The workers will be asked to sign papers saying they will avoid public transit and public places.
Need to kick this in actshun master resident . period as you would add. No LIE.
Would not have this situation if you had done the travel restriction from the source. Now you talk of containment???¿ a lot too late!
