In a story by Priscilla Frank titled "One Artist Is Buying Back The Guns In New Orleans' Tough Neighborhoods" that appeared on the Huffington post website Wednesday (Oct. 23), art impresario Kirsha Kaechele explained her forthcoming art project "The Embassy."

In brief, Kaechele's husband David Walsh, founder of the Museum of Old and New Art in Australia's state of Tasmania, plans to purchase $100,000 in weapons on Saturday (Oct. 25), with no questions asked. The object is to decrease gun violence by diminishing the number of firearms.

Originally, the guns were to be melted and reconstituted as record albums upon which neighborhood hip-hop artists would produce recordings. Repurposing the guns proved technically impossible, but Kaechele pushed on with the idea of providing a free neighborhood recording studio as a symbol of the anti-violence campaign.

The recording studio is located in a former car wash and candy store at 1342 Franklin Ave. In the Huffington post report, Kaechele recalls that the idea for 'The Embassy' was born of tragedy.

With the location of this gun buyback I would say that a number of the weapons that will be brought are either stolen or have been used in a crime or two.BTW, with the low life expectancy of New Orleans rappers the odds are it won't be long before someone is shot in or around this neighborhood recording studio .

Explain to me how buying stolen guns and crime guns and opening a studio to record songs glorifying violence helps to reduce violence.

Yes. Because record albums are made from vinyl, while guns contain virtually NO vinyl.

Geniuses! Geniuses, I tells ya!

I love how she didn’t know enough about what guns are made of or what records are made of to know it wouldn’t work.

But, but, they were those guns that can pass undetected through airport x-ray machines! How could this not have worked?

Doofs.

No.

She's just lying.

She's a leftist.

Leftists lie. About everything. Even when it isn't 'necessary'. They are of their father the devil: a murderer and a liar and the father thereof.
