Kewl! your own personal Makeki-Neko. Likely with the lack pf a tail it was a purebreed known as a Japanese bobtail. The japanese are a bunch of cat-crazy people. Look up “Maru” on youtube theres a series of videos of this japanese apartment kitty. He’s an absolute scream.

I’m personally a fan of the Hello Kitty USB drive, or what I like to call, “Decapit Kitty.” I’ve never forgiven them for getting rid of Peckle the Duck decades (?) ago. Die, Kitty, die. I only have your mug and jewelry box so I can look at them and laugh evilly. Actually, I forgave them but I’m still disappointed and they did release a little Peckle plushy this year. He smiles down from my mantle for my faithfulness and secret thoughts about the Kitty that stole his limelight. I confess I liked Angel Kitty but probably only from a sense of morbidness.

I bought my girl a Kimora Hello Kitty watch, diamond encrusted and a Kimora Hello Kitty necklace with pendant.

She’s a girl and the other ladies are jealous when she wears em.

This was at a car dealership down the street a couple of years ago. Someone actually bought it:

I took that picture just to mess with a friend. Hey Paul, here's your new car!

I’ve repeatedly threatened to put Hello Kitty stuff all over and inside my daughter’s car. She’s a teen-ager so I still try to keep her in line. LOL,

Must’ve been my favorite book as a kid, ‘The Boy Who Drew Cats.’ He lived in a temple and got in trouble all the time for drawing cats on everything.

*SPOILER ALERT*

One night the monster Rat King tries to destroy the temple and all of the cats he had drawn came to life and killed the monster! Good Kittehs!

For some reason, that story has stuck with me for nearly 50 years. I’m a strong believer in magic - and being proactive to beat the enemy! :)

Now that I think about it, I’ve also had a Siamese cat. And I love the cat Maru! And Grumpy Cat! Maybe I am American Japanese? :)

That’s a nice one! I have a whole collection that I’ve gotten through my visits to the Japan pavilion at EPCOT.

I told my daughter that Hello Kitty turned 40. I said, “who knew? She looks so young. She must have had plastic surgery.” She said, “for a cat that old isn’t that just taxidermy?” Glad I had no liquids in my mouth.
