Was wondering when you’d ring that bell. Think we got a chance this weekend?

We have a chance if our defense can hold them under 20.

Jupiter Theater (formerly Burt Reynolds Dinner Theater) Burt Reynolds Jupiter Theatre

Snip: Sadly the Jupiter Theatre closed its doors in 1997 after Reynolds declared bankruptcy in 1996.

I had my picture taken with him during that show. They filmed at my high school.

That's a good souvenir!

I see wikipedia says it was filmed in Oxnard in Ventura County.

Remember reading a few months ago he owed the state of New York many dollars. IIRC. Sorry, Burt- at least you have something of value. Many less fortunate than you are worse off

I’ve known billionaires who went bankrupt. And pro athletes, Multimillionaire bankers, developers.... Just remembered Wayne Newton’s case. So an actor isn’t that surprising.

Glad to hear they were nice guys. Too often you hear bad things about celebrities in real life.

Lottery winners are very adept at blowing it all and ending up broke.

“I’m not sure that I believe the dailymail.co.uk. They are SUCH a rag. “

Me neither. But I googled Burt Reynolds bankrupt, and the bankruptcy and auction are real.

He can barely walk, barely stand, and is hunched over badly.

I saw him at the Oxnard airport when they were filming Dan August one day I believe in 1970. After a take, he came over and stood a few feet from me, and I couldn’t help but notice how very short, very compact he was.

He looked every bit the famous celeb, though, that’s for sure. Almost 45 years ago, and I still remember something as non-important as that. LOL

He does get residual income from all of his films and TV shows but it is probably not enough to support his lifestyle.
Bad investments and advice did him in like so many other celebrities that have absolutely no business sense or at least the ability to choose some reputable firm to take care of them.

If IRC Lonnie took him to the cleaners too

Happy Thanksgiving! !!

It’s funny that he could make such an impression at the time. He had charm and good humor and was more than willing to let us hang out outside his dressing trailer. We were typical teenagers of the early 1970’s variety and he really tolerated us. Go figure :)

He was on an Episode of Fast & Loud a while ago.

He hasn’t aged well.
