McDonald's is bringing touchscreen ordering to the US

It turns out that people aren't eating as many McHamburgers as they used to, which is a big problem if your business is all about slinging meat. So McDonald's is hoping the novelty of its "Create Your Taste" ordering kiosks will lure some customers back in. The machines will be installed in 2,000 of its US outlets by the end of 2015.

I agree.

They forgot to Keep It Simple Stupid rule.

I went to McDonald’s for the first time in a long time. There are a million items to choose from. My first thought is that they are still trying to be all things to all people. The food still tasted like crap and a lot smaller too.

The menu at In and Out is simple to read. The food is a lot better. They focus on a few things.

Mickey D’s is one giant vending machine anyway! Now they will prove it.

Bill Gates told them not to mess with minimum wage - because a lot of people can be replaced by the I-phone!

Machines will cook and make those burgers and then dispense into bags, they are actually 10 years too late.

I rarely go there. I’m the opposite of the milleniels who supposedly would rather order with a kiosk. I prefer to deal with actual human beings when going into a service business. And if a place offers good service that makes it more pleasant to go there.

I have not yet been to Chick Fil A. I’ve heard their customer service is better than most fast food places.

The food at CFA is pretty good (certainly better than McD). The service is absolutely outstanding. I can't remember not hearing both a "please" and "thank you", or being interrupted during my order to ask if I wanted a "combo" when I clearly ordered a sandwich.

Alpo is a better tasting meal than the crap they put out at McDonalds.
