Melbourne's world champion pizza maker Johnny Di Francesco has made a pizza with 99 cheeses. It's the stuff of bratty eight-year-old Kevin McCallister's dreams - a beautiful cheese pizza complete with 99 cheeses.

Unlike the Home Alone character, the latest pizza wonder is expected to feed more than one when Melbourne pizza supremo Johnny Di Francesco puts his creative talents to the fore.

The super chef has blended 94 cheeses and cooked them off to create one flavoursome super cheese, then adds another five fresh cheeses to his new pizza before and after it is wood-fired.

Why not use the proper cheese? A nice fresh mozzarella.

Because if you tried to sell it as a "99 cheese pizza" then you'd be called a liar.........

Lou Malnati’s is Chicago Deep Dish Pizza. NYC Pizza has more crust than fillings, which is good for a snack, but not a meal.

What true Chicago deep dish I dined on when there a couple of decades back, was some of the best pizza I ever had. I don’t remember any vendors though.

Is that in American Dollars? Is someone expected to pay $89.00 (plus tax maybe) for one block of cheese? Holy Moly, what must it taste like? I used to love cheese, a lot, then a went Vegan for a few years in an effort to lose weight.

I did not lose significant weight, so I stopped being Vegan. Still, I was not able to go back to eating cheese as much as I used to. I can take a little here and there, but, my stomach is to this day, ‘not that happy’ when I put a lot of cheese in it.

My first Chicago pizza was fall of 1973 at Gino's East. Sausage, mushroom and mozzarella(for the sake of the article)cheese. It's a good thing I have never lived in that area or I would weigh something obscene by now. I was there last fall for 5 days and gained 10 pounds, 5 of which I'm still struggling with.

[ It’s easier to just use bread, ketchup and whatever cheese has not gone bad in the fridge. ]

Slice a hotdog into thin slices for “pepperoni”

Gino’s sounds like my kind of place. My time around Chicago was in 89.

My aunt still makes a top flight pizza I will put up against anyone and here is a slice towards the end of dinner way back when.

There’s a NY style pizza place nearby. Tastes real good but they don’t use real mozzarella cheese— the stringy kind. They charge a premium price too—— gibs me some real damn cheese on my pizza. Capice?

Years ago the late Jim Varney had a pizza commercial. In it he had a line that said, “Hey Vern, whats these dead minnows doin’ on my pizza”? (anchovies, of course).

Moose cheese is among the most expensive in the world:

You ever try to milk a moose???

http://www.theepochtimes.com/n3/276980-5-most-expensive-cheeses-in-the-world/

3. Moose Cheese – Over 500/kg; US $300/pound
Produced in Sweden by the Moose House, this cheese is made only from the milk of Gullan, Haelga, and Juno. These three cows were abandoned by their mother and adopted by the Johannson family. Moose only lactate from May to September and require the most tender of handling during milking since disturbances can cause the animals to get flustered and dry-up. Each animal produces about 5 liters (1.3 gallons) of milk per day, so each year the farm can only offer 300 kg (660 pounds) of cheese. The cheese contains 12 percent fat and 12 percent protein.
