This is my part of the country. That fire, which was deliberately set, devastated both Bastrop and Buescher State Parks, and left many people homeless. I think a couple of people may have died, but am not sure about that.
It will take many years to replace the forest in those parks.
There are a lot of sick people out there ..
“There are a lot of sick people out there ..”........
You’re right and they don’t all live in Texas.
I hope they caught or catch the bastards that set that fire.
As I recall, the fire started with a lightening strike-—and for whatever reason, this young woman decided to make it more exciting by going through both state parks and starting more fires.
The good new is, they caught here—but I don’t remember what happened to her. She was one sick puppy, tho, IMHO.
The fire in Magnolia, Texas started on a September Sunday afternoon. Not a cloud in the sky. I had not rained much at all since October of the previous year. The fire was supposedly started by careless actions. The fire to the NW in the spring in the same area was supposedly started by careless actions. All the cause is just conjecture though since you can’t find one shred of information about the cause.
I wonder Why?
Not really. Pretty foolish to me.
