Of the Revelation, the only parts that are past are up to the 5th seal.

Only if you take every thing in the order in which it was wrote.

Rev 12 describes the resurrection of our lord.

5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

I don`t believe the above verse could be referring to any one except Jesus.

No, the seals have to be taken in order, as they are the history of the last 2000 years, presently into the 5th seal.

But the Revelation has several parenthetical passages that are all about the near future. There have to be these parenthesis to clearly show what is happening concurrently in different places, i.e. on Earth, and in Heaven, different things at the same time.

Apparently.

I just have an inherent distrust of the History Channel.

There are several people that have spent the years to put it all together. Michael Rood's “Chronological Gospels” is the most complete analysis of the timelines of the new testament.

On sale this week, two for the price of one.

Michael Rood's a fraud.... I wouldn't even begin to trust any of his junk...he's a wannabe Jew and even dresses up to fake out his followers. You're better off listneing to the History Channel than this guy's cult teachings

The guys a fraud but then Jesus said there would be many of them in the last days...Rood's just one of the many crawling out of the woodwork.

Here he is dressed up like a Jewish Priest just to add to all the drama

He’s actually describing two things: the civil war fought within Jerusalem’s walls itself, and the Roman siege of Jerusalem that led to its fall in 70 AD.

Revelation is a “prophetic exposition” of the Olivet Discourse at which, according to the Gospel of Mark, John was one of the four disciples present. Wonder why there is no Olivet Discourse in John’s gospel? It’s because while the other gospel writers devoted about two chapters to it, John wrote an entire book about it.

Revelation has nothing to do whatsoever with the time in which we live until you get to chapter 21, wherein John describes the nature of Christ’s kingdom: His church.

We live in the “new heavens and earth”, as the old heavens and earth - the old covenant kingdom and theocracy of Israel - was violently overthrown by Christ in retaliation for “all the righteous blood shed on earth” (Matt.23).

When read in the context of God’s old testament judgments, Revelation falls into place as the final recorded prophecy of God’s judgment against Israel.

In other words, Revelation was not written to us, about us, or the time in which we live.

“I have been trying to figure out the book of revelation for almost 45 years and when it comes right down to it I am no closer than day one.”

I was in the same boat. Every “explanation” of it I heard or read simply raised more questions, until I stopped trying to interpret it by today’s headlines and started using the gospels, history, and the old testament to interpret it.

Let me start you on your first step to really understanding it: in Matthew 24, how many “tribulations” does Jesus mention? If you only see one, as I did for years, you’re missing an important key. ;)

Those ideas have been so completely blown away for so long its beyond laughable and way into crying time!

Revelation was written between AD 92 and 94. This was Polycarp’s best contribution to defeating Satan’s preterists.

Rood is one of the finest Bible scholars of all time.

The fact that he blows away your personal favorite heresies is no reason for false attacks.

The period garments he wears in some of his teachings are part of the knowledge he imparts to the milk drinkers. Yeshua wore the kind of garments he uses, and understanding the makeup of them is scripturally important in understanding some of the parables correctly.

If you do not wish to understand the Bible fully, that is your business.

It does not seem possible that he could only be talking about the destruction of Jerusalem.

But i will not go as far as trying to set a point where he went from the destruction of Jerusalem to the end of the world.

Why are you so full of hate?

Knowledge is power. Rood delivers reality to empower us to bring in Yeshua’s sheep. (and to avoid the dispy chasms that will doom millions)

Now you’re sounding like a liberal as soon as someone calls them out....start name calling as a lead in,

Well that crap doesn’t work for me.....

We had an etire thread before on fraud Rood and you certainly had your say there.

I will stand against anything that opposes the Bible and the way of Salvation....especially those who attempt to rob Cgristians of the freedom they have in Christ and put them back under “the law of Rood”.

Rood has a cult following and that’s exactly what he teaches......mixe’s it with enough Christian language to “hook “ people who are young in the Lord...or unfamiliar with the scriptures....or have left the faith.

I hate false teaching as much as Jesus did when he called the Pharsees and Sadducees Vipers and White washed tombs....for putting a burden on the shoulders of people they could not carry.

So yes...I will “hate” what God clearly does...and that is what opposes His will. Rood and his teachings do just that....oppose the freedom Christians have in Christ.

That is an interesting diversion from your first attack.

Opening up the full plan of salvation as it has been presented from the beginning is the exact reason why we need the primitive worship knowledge. The knowledge that has cost millions their lives since the second century.

You have to make up your mind: do you wish to be a catholic, or do you want to be a disciple of Yeshua? A full reading of Irenaeus Against Heresy would be in order, as he and his disciple Hippolytus appear to be among the last to teach and follow the primitive teaching of Yeshua and his apostles.

The reformation simply produced a new branch of catholicism that called themselves protestant, even including the pagan ‘eucharist.’ Complete with the rejection of the people that Yeshua plainly stated were the only people to whom he was sent, (Matthew 15:24) and rejection of the primative gospel he taught.

That gospel is the Way of Salvation.

First, Revelation was written no later than 68 AD. Second, I see it didn’t take you long to resort to name-calling. It’s a tactic I’ve come to expect from someone whose arguments aren’t supported by facts.

Whatever.
