Indeed. That was such a nail-biter until the last 3 minutes.

Thanks, that’s probably so. We only saw a back view and yes, I have seen referees pick up flags, we just have to move on. Maybe wait for the NFL to issue a statement.

The Vaqueros win today, I’d like to see them defeat Green Bay, forecast is for 18 degrees next Sunday so while that isn’t sun-bathing weather, it’s not bad. Bad is 5 degrees or under. So, check the weather forecasts.

Any NFL team should be able to handle, I’d say 10 degrees or above on a heated field (for the ground) and heaters on the sideline.

Giants beat Green Bay 2 times and I know one of those times, it was pretty awful weather.

But Rodgers is good, at times, he is too perfect.

GB beat Detroit at home in the last game of the season, 30-20 and reading the recap, Rodgers had to leave the game due to a calf problem. So, we will see.

That may have been the case, but the DPI was called and announced. It is not a reviewable play. Do your own homework.

Dallas should win the SB every year then by fiat? Would that be a solution more to your liking, a more “conservative” outcome?

Lions 14 points in the first quarter but, largely did nothing offensively then. Same old Stafford. He probably will get better though and this will help him learn.

Typically those flags will not be thrown if the defender is going for the ball (as he should). This defender was facing the receiver.

Whether it was the right flag to throw as it happened is almost immaterial. What is material is that it was called, announced by the head referee and then waived. Why would the head ref on the field waive a call that he had already announced. A DPI call that is not reviewable on replay. What happened that caused him to do that?

“This defender was facing the receiver.”

He didn’t have any choice the receiver was holding his facemask. You can see it at the start of the video here:

The receiver did let go when the ball was thrown...

The last 1 minute for me, I wasn’t having much faith in the defense at that point... especially after Lawrence almost became the new Leon Lett

Maybe the other refs told him it was the wrong call?

Indeed, there's so much inconsistency in when flags are thrown. Holding, for example, occurs on almost every play in the league, but is called only when it's caught and the ref feels like calling it.

The head ref, in this case, had orders from the league - or it would appear given the circumstantial evidence and the disparity in coverage between the Cowboys and other teams. It looks suspicious, and feels like everyone is being "herded" into support for a particular team. Maybe that sounds conspiratorial and is almost certainly colored by my own intrinsic hatred for the Dallas Cowboys franchise, but it's from watching this team for decades.

OKay, that’s a deal. Thank you!

I just didn’t want that Detriot team to win, what with their thug player.

Not sure what you might have seen. I see a receiver putting his hands up to catch a pass, and a defender interfering. I guess we see what we want to see...

How many years has he been in the league?

He's had more than enough time to learn by now.

He'll never be an elite QB.

None of this matters. Defensive pass interference is not a reviewable play/call by replay. What does matter is that they called DPI, announced DPI, then waived DPI. Why?

That’s completely understandable.

What’s your opinion of no. 11 Cole Beasley?

Well, I guess you do LOL!

Anyway, it was a heartbreaking call and very awkwardly done.
