This show is a national treasure. Virtually everybody starred in it.
That was due to quality writing. Serling literally killed himself running it.

w/ Telly Savalas....(he really hates the doll/doll wins.)

Yes, early Fritz Weaver.
Just watched “Fail Safe” the other night.

This might be the reason my father never bought his daughters anything other than Barbie dolls. They didn’t talk!

“Telly Savalas”
That’s Telly Savalas with HAIR. LOL

One of my favorites from the 80’s series was ‘A Small Talent for War’, starring John Glover. Very short, but very good.

Loved the half hour ones, but some of the hour long ones dragged.

Hey, kid. Yeah, you. I'm thinking really bad thoughts about you bbecause you're a stupid, ugly looking, weird little kid. Freak.

Yes, great portrayal by Telly. He's so hateful, you end up cheering for Talking Tina!
Another great "animated doll" story was part of a made-for-TV movie back in the 1970's. Called Trilogy of Terror, it starred Karen Black, who was menaced by the doll of an African warrior that came to life. Blood-curdling!

“The Long Morrow”
with Robert Lansing and a very young, Mariette Hartley

A few years ago I watched the entire series on a long four day weekend on Netflix.
I was amazed at the number of actors who got their start on the show. big name actors.
Rod Serling really had an eye for talent, even if it hasn’t been discovered yet.

I'm falling down a spiral, destination unknown
A double-crossed messenger, all alone
I can't get no connection, can't get through, where are you
Well the night weighs heavy on his guilty mind
This far from the borderline
And when the hit man comes
He knows damn well he has been cheated.

My faves are the one with the watch that freezes time and then the guy drops it and it breaks. And the Chistmas one with the bum that becomes Santa and the cops think hes handing out stolen goods.
