Don’t go into the cornfield.
I know this one gave a lot of people nightmares. Wasn’t the episode that gave me nightmares.
I have to find that song.i know there was a disco version of the Twilight Zone back in the 80s.
From the NEW Twilight Zone ....
My favorite is “The Hunt”, the devil can’t fool a dog.
I agree about the hour-long episodes’ tendency to drag. But there was one I really liked. An episode entitled “Death Ship,” I believe, with Jack Klugman and Ross Martin, as astronauts in space who see the vision of their own smashed spacecraft on a planet’s surface. Spooky, unnerving episode. I liked that one a lot.
He also played Mr. Larson in Happy Gilmore.
“Hey, Shooter, you forgot your nine iron!”
I like the one with the watch too.
Santa was Art Carney.
There’s a one-hour episode called “Tomorrow We Leave for Home” that I like.
Isn’t “The Hitchhiker” with Inger Stevens a one-hour episode? Can’t recall - She was a very popular TV star for a while but committed suicide quite young.
“Midnight Sun”, great acting from Lois Nettleton and Betty Garde...
“Long Live Walter Jameson”, with Kevin McCarthy...
The one with Gary Merrill where he is a Confederate officer who comes upon a book of spells..
John Dehner who does a great job of resurrecting the dead..
“Battling Maxo” with Lee Marvin..
Another one with Lee Marvin, where he, Strother Martin and a bunch of other great actors frequently seen in westerns are wondering about the nearby graveyard...
William Shatner again, where he and his new wife encounter a Fortune telling machine in a diner...
Being older, “Kick the Can” always makes me cry, as does the one with Robert Redford as Death, leading the fearful old lady up into the light.
Also love “The Hunt.”
“The Hunt” is on at 3AM. It’s a great episode that I never saw until a couple years ago.
It’s a must see for anyone who likes dogs and a reminder of how Christian this culture used to be.
My favorite hour long episode was “Of Late I Think of Cliffordville”
Why you should never make a deal with the devil. Even if it is as beautiful as Julie Newmar.
Absolutely love the show. My favorite episode is “Will The Real Martian Please Stand Up?” I’ve never forgotten the way that ending blew my mind.
Much as I adore the series, though, The Walking Dead marathon wins out today. ;)
Interesting, I see he hired Howard Cosell when he was a producer with ABC sports in the late 50’s.
That one really scared me...the guy who got turned into a jack-in-the-box! Geez. His eyes were so horribly aware.
What a great payoff it would have been for someone to kill that little SOB.
It’s also wonderful how much the old couple loves each other.
The old man was smiling when the angel told him his wife would be joining him shortly.
Great ending.
Don’t go into any diners if the cook is wearing a hat.
No, the one that scares me, and still does to this day is “ Eye of the beholder”
Poor Ellie Mae Clampitt.
