I didn't think I needed to explain I knew it was a scam, but yeah ... I know

They never meant anything to me because I supplemented my oil heat with the woodburner

The old refrigeration cycle, compression-expansion-condesation, is an energy hog. Instead of trying to produce your own electricity invent a low energy A/C system.

Thank the EPA for this—most, if not all distillate fuel oil (mostly No 1 and No 2) must conform roughly to EN 590, the ULS(D) standard with <15ppm sulphur.

I can still remember a time when distillate fuel oil sold at a discount to gasoline. It wasn’t too long ago either: even LSD/500ppm sulphur DFO was still cheaper than gasoline.

We have a place with a well and heats with propane. Septic tank. There is rural electric. Need it for the well but could theoretically pump the water by hand or propane. We have a tank for the propane which has to be filled a few times a year. How would a small wind mill work?

I used to read posts from this guy in Alabama that was complete off the grid. Completely. Fascinating.

He used a waterwheel in the stream next to his hand built house to power up a phone. Think he also harnassed some wind/sun power.

We have electric heaters and a wood stove. We only turn on the bathroom heater in the morning, and use the stove for the rest of the house. We go through 3 cords a winter, averages
$130 a month for delivered cords.

I can tell you one thing, the people that generate electricity are not worried about their jobs in the least.

OBSCENE....

Off my nut, certainly. Still working on the grid though. Loads of good guidance here! Otoh, just ask if you need my input on the “nuts” thingy.

“OBSCENE....”

Our tax money has been captured by 100 different agendas. The smallest of which is defense and the real business of government. If you thought about the things government does, ranging from meals for students to arming “moderate” Muslims, I’d say a huge percentage of it is simply not the business of government.

On the Mountain Men show and also one of those alaska shows they generate small amounts of electricity from streams. They funnel it through pipes and use the water to power a generator. Of course this requires a fast moving source of water but its an option.

I’m in Tampa and our AC runs about 9 months a year. We keep it at 78.
