Maybe if they had played a Big 12 Championship game it wouldn’t be an issue.

I find little sport in eight foot guys making ten foot baskets.
Agree! And then, adding insult to injury, ESPN shows them all on their Top 10 plays of the day. Worthless krap.

Memphis won the game AND the fight.

Dallas was entertaining. First pro game i watched more than 15 minutes of all season. They’ll get stomped next week probably

Very few teams play defense in college football. And everybody’s in such a hurry to get the next play off.

It has a certain appeal, to be sure. But it also resembles arena football at times. A college team with a three touchdown lead in the second quarter is assured of very little.

Is there a more fun team to watch than Oregon anywhere on Planet Earth?

How about in The Universe?

I am a Ducks fan after seeing them humiliate that collection of felons, rapists and miscreants masquerading as a football team..aka FSU.

That's funny...I distinctly remember my son and I flying to Los Angeles to watch Texas play in a College Championship game in January of 2006. Are ALL previous Championships wiped away now??

Texas Tech’s Mike Leech revolutionized college ball with “The Air Raid”. The mossbacks who preferred 50s football with its “3 yards and a cloud of dust” sniffed about his “system.” But others came to Lubbock to learn it, and it’s everywhere now. The SEC and the NFL have had to adapt because fans do not want to pay big bucks to see a game that ends 7-3.

There sure is - the Ohio State Buckeyes - Go BUCKS! Don’t forget we are playing with a 3rd string quarter back. (just a friendly rub here).

Awesome you and your son are going! Our son didn’t go with us to the Rose Bowl and really regrets it now. Dallas is just out of our price range, but seeing the RB was fantastic for me. My wife is the one who is disappointed not going to Dallas. Mrs POF just said “not fair” when I told her you are going. Have a great time! Go Ducks!

I had not watched football in decades. When I moved to Oregon a few years back I happened to catch part of a Chip Kelly Ducks game…I was instantly hooked. The tempo was sooooo fast, it made for such a fun watch. At about the same time I happened to see one of Russell Willsons early Seahawk games…again, I was hooked. Now my wife is not happy that her previously non-sports lovin’ husband watches football again. Thanks, Chip Kelly, for changing the face of football!

Actually, it was Mouse Davis and his "run and shoot offense", which he adapted from a high school coach in Ohio. Mouse Davis is considered the "godfather of the run and shoot offense."

I would much rather watch a 20-17 Steelers-Ravens game than watch WVU play Baylor, score 9 touchdowns and lose.

Tell Mrs. POF I'll drink a toast in her honor. :), Especially because you have a great screen name.

No, this is the first time they have used a bracket system to come up with a national champion. The various Bowl champions will still be the champions.
