When I was single, I used to fix countertops, wiring, doors, stuff like that for young ladies I knew. It really got them going. A man in the house fixing things!

No so-called “mechanic” [especially shade tree mechs] worth his salt doesn’t have JB Weld handy...it’s the great redeemer of “aw craps” all over the land.
I’ve “fixed” many things with the magic contained within those tubes of goodness...

Every job is a two person or three person job and one never has help with kids around.
sigh.
And unfortunately I will do any and every job. HVAC install. God answers “leverage” to half my prayers, but somehow He gets me through them, with much suffering! To suffer is to love, right?

I’ve found the older and wealthier I get, the less DIY things I can do. I have taken car engines apart, repaired them and put them back together. Today I can’t change my oil.
