Every year, A-10s will fly slowly over central New Hampshire; sometimes, they appear to be hovering!

You should see them practicing at the range...I did when I was at Shaw AFB in the 90s...we had a squadron assigned there for a while after Myrtle Beach AFB was closed.

Not a fast [by conventional definition] aircraft, but amazingly nimble and maneuverable...
