That’s clearly a local dealer association ad, or an independent dealer ad. That is not a Ford Corporate ad.

Nothing worse than getting under there to check the muffler bearing and finding out the whole disgronificator is shot.

When Ford decided to go all European on their lineup, that’s when they jumped the shark. That was done when:
• Cars that were too American (read: Panther, E-Series van platforms) were removed from the lineup

I agree wholeheartedly on this one. I particularly hate the Transit vans. They are complete junk. It is clear that the EU engineers have no concept of the US market.

• They downgraded everything to match the Europeans (I-4’s in cars, 6’s in trucks)

You can blame this one on the 2018 and beyond CAFE requirements dictated by dear leader. They are impossible to meet and Ford is currently working to simply minimize the fines from FedGov.

• They threw EcoBoost in everything with the thought it could make up for displacement (nope).

Again, you need to blame FedGov for their impossible CAFE standards.

• They offered an I-4 in the Mustang.

True, but it is an offering to simply be included as a green option in the line-up. Once again, they are forced by the CAFE to do this.

• They faked audio, knowing that the engines wouldn’t otherwise sound right for their audience.

That one is rather comical to me! It is an offering on that seems to defeat the purpose of the normal electric car buyer....Marketing dropped the ball on this one.

“Shame that Ford didn’t show that sign to all the environmentalists - instead of pandering to them 110%.”

Considering that not “pandering” to the FedGov requirements could cost them Billions and Billions of dollars, I understand why they would capitulate. That said, sadly all of us will pay for such FedGov greenie nonsense. Have you tried to buy a washing machine in the last couple of years? The quality is terrible and the effectiveness has degraded a lot!

The EPA is negatively effecting every area of our lives. We need to remember that when we see such degradation in the products. I won’t blame the manufactures, I fully blame the Gov dictators!

That’s what I’ve been doing with my 07 Cobalt since it was new. Every oil change pour a bottle of STP fuel injection cleaner in the tank. It’s got over 180k miles on it and runs like new.

I make it a point to go outside and air out any aerosol spray cans on Earth Day. Don’t want them to get clogged, right? Right before the big bonfire that night with all my friends and family :)

There’s a liberal (maybe ex-liberal is more apt) from Nashua, NH who lives across the street and has been here in Texas for 16 years or so. He used to get quite upset with how we Conservatives celebrate Earth Day. He’s slowly come around to right-thinking though and actually voted for Ted Cruz in 2012. With his conversion from leftism to Texas values, I wouldn’t be too surprised if he joins us by firing up some engines this April! It took him a while, but due largely to his daughter’s influence (she’s a cheerleader and goes to church), he’s shedding his northeastern liberalism and becoming a true Texan!
