WAUKESHA, Wis. (AP) — Prosecutors say the case should move forward in adult court against two Wisconsin girls accused of stabbing a classmate to please the horror character Slender Man.
In filings late Tuesday, the Waukesha County District Attorney’s Office asked the court to find probable cause that both girls committed attempted first-degree homicide.
Under Wisconsin law, that charge automatically puts the case in adult court. But defense attorneys want the case moved to juvenile court. They say the charge should be attempted second-degree homicide, which normally would be a juvenile charge.

Why is a slender man stabbing prosecutors?
Insane...and guilty.
Doesn’t fit the bill for second degree charges, because there was intent and premeditation.
This should stay in adult court. They are going to try every double standard in the book to get in into juvenile court. Young, female, sympathy, insanity.
If it goes there we will never hear what they get for sentencing. And they at max will be free at 18, if not earlier.

If the insanity defense were to work, they would be in a mental treatment center for at least as long as they would be in an actual prison, and possibly longer. If it were to somehow work, no getting out at 18 for either one of them.
Not as long as if they were tried as an adult. And there’d be sympathy and pressure to let them out.
The guy who killed the American Sniper tried the same tactic. Oh, it was aliens and pig-men who made him do it.
