A small Alberta farming town, nestled halfway between Calgary and Lethbridge, is in mourning today. The most famous citizen of the planet of Vulcan, "Star Trek" star Leonard Nimoy, died on Friday at the age of 83, and now the town of Vulcan, Alberta has to say goodbye to Mr. Spock. "He was such a humble and great ambassador...and just a great person to visit with," Mayor Tom Grant told Yahoo Canada News. "Our condolences are definitely with his family and friends.

The term “Vulcanized rubber” will never be the same.
It’s good to laugh and I think Nimoy would be laughing along with us as we remember his works.
You've gotta admit that D'Pring was a bit of all right! In a space alien kinda way at least. She appeared in at least one episode of Hogan's Heroes as well.
Yeah, because otherwise this would be just plain weird, playing up a “connection” that is completely random and disconnected.

Was the name of the town “Vulcan” before the show?
After all,this town has a Bill Clinton museum.
Now there's a thought...retro-naming in order to capitalize on popularity...Can't believe it hasn't been done yet.
Look for "Raping","Rutting", and "Cradle-Robbing".
It says in the article the town was named after the Roman god in 1910 so they predated the show by quite a lot.
