There are countless documentaries (try Youtube searching “post war germany”) and you’ll find out repeatedly that the frauleins were LOOKING for Yanks as boyfriends because they were taken care of, financially. Back then, everyone was starving post-war so no rape needed.

That's no surprise.

A man respected in a small town in Alberta, Canada, had been a child in Germany during World War 2. After the 9/11 attacks (after quite a few years of concealing his real thoughts about the U.S.A. and Israel), he made the claim to an international e-mail list for conservative family advocacy, that millions of German prisoners of war were exterminated in American concentration camps.

He told that lie knowing full well that German PWs with good behavior were let out of the posts to work for Americans during the day. He knew that many of them later became ranch, farm and business owners in America.

The Brits, Australians and other foreign nationals on that list did not disagree with him or see anything outrageous in what he said. He was not a Protestant or a fan of Asian mysticism. Neither was his leader in World War II. Neither were the others. Needless to say, I unsubscribed from that list.

That poison still exists in minds here and there all over the world and has been growing again. It is preached in small social circles that conceal their true sentiments in their public speech.

One of the fellows in my last office was married to a German woman. His FIL was in the Wehrmacht and at family gatherings would talk about his wartime experiences. That was all fine and well but he said his FIL had a brother who was in “special operations” stationed in Poland and became quite wealthy after the war.

When my colleague would inquire about what he did everyone from his wife's family would clam up and change the subject.
