Tsarnaev's lawyer admits he carried out Boston bombing

"He believed that he was a soldier in a holy war against Americans," Assistant U.S. Attorney William Weinreb said. "He also believed that by winning that victory, he had taken a step toward reaching paradise. That was his motive for committing these crimes."

A shaggy-haired, goateed Tsarnaev, 21, slouched in his seat and looked at Weinreb as the prosecutor launched into his opening statement.

Three people were killed and more than 260 hurt when two pressure-cooker bombs exploded near the finish line seconds apart on April 15, 2013. Tsarnaev is accused of carrying out the attacks with his older brother, now dead.

About two dozen victims took up the entire left-hand side the courtroom, watching somberly as Weinreb described the carnage. Several hung their heads and appeared to fight back tears.

Weinreb said Tsarnaev carried a bomb in a backpack, and it was "the type of bombs favored by terrorists because it's designed to tear people apart and create a bloody spectacle."

Sketching out the horrific scene on the streets after the two shrapnel-packed pressure-cooker bombs exploded, Weinreb said: "The air was filled with the smell of burning sulfur and people's screams."

The prosecutor described how 8-year-old Martin Richard stood on a metal barrier with other children so he could get a good view of the runners.

"The bomb tore large chunks of flesh out of Martin Richard," and the boy bled to death on the sidewalk as his mother looked on helplessly, Weinreb told the jury, with the boy's parents in the courtroom.

After the bombings, Tsarnaev "acted like he didn't have a care in the world," the prosecutor said. Weinreb said Tsarnaev went back to the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth and hung out with his friends.

In other news, The Obama administration has proposed giving Dzhokhar Tsarnaev a Boston restaurant to help him find a peaceful use for pressure cookers.

You have misinterpreted my remark as meaning that it was fun for me. Rather, it was a (apparently too subtle) commentary on others’ thoughts.

Ok...I’m a barbarian then.

We got barbaric to defeat the British.

We got barbaric to defeat the Barbary Muslim Pirates.

We got barbaric to defeat the Spanish.

We got barbaric to Defeat the Germans....twice.

We got barbaric to defeat Imperial japan.

We got barbaric to defeat Saddam...twice.

There is nothing not barbaric about war....incuding killing a man with your bare hands.

You are free because good men have done barbaric things in the dark of night in your name.

IMHO terrorists should be impailed atop the Washington monument until it’s red with the blood of failed Jihad.

Worked before.

You are using two meanings for barbaric.

Waging war is necessary, but it can be done in an inhumane way. So it's not pacificist to curb what is inhumane in war.

Respect human life is higher than just winning. Otherwise winning isn't justice. It's survival of the strongest. That's the barbarism I'm referring to. You can read about it Thucydides.

We fire bombed German cities....No american cities were fire bombed.

We Nuked two Cities in Japan....No American cities were Nukes.

Are we no better than the Nazi’s? or the Imperial japanese?

Both acts are considered “barbaric” by many people.

Would you prefer a world were we had lost WW2?

We dropped Fuel air MOAB’s on the Taliban trenches abd burned them alive.

And frankly....after 9/11 I really dont give a crap anymore....I’m done....

To offer a quote from mad max:

“The gloves are off max.....as long as the paperwork jives...I dont care what you boys do out there anymore”

That’s my opinion.

What good are sensibilities if you dont survive?

Three people dead; 260 injured—some with loss of limbs and eyesight.

Now, Little T, it is your turn to die.

This better not end with a plea agreement.
Try him. Accept his confession. judge that he is guilty and execute the little SOB.

Curb yourself. That's not how Americans do things. The suggestion is barbaric.

"He believed that he was a soldier in a holy war against Americans,"

Yet, he went through the motions for US citizenship. From my notes:

July 19, 2008 - Tamerlan and Mama have been in America for the required 5 years so are eligible for US citizenship. Tamerlan gets legal permanent residency. At some point Mama gets US naturalization.

April 2009 - Tamerlan's boxing magazine article. Wants to represent US in Olympics and become naturalized US citizen although he doesn’t have any friends and doesn’t understand Americans.

2010 - Golden Gloves of America changed rules to ban non-US citizens at Tournament of Champions level.

Sept 5, 2012 – Tamerlan applies for US citizenship which is delayed because of closed FBI investigation but Congressman William Keating (D-Mass.) claims it’s because of the old domestic abuse case.

Sept 11, 2012 - Dzhokhar gets US citizenship seven months before the bombing.

He should have been put in general population at the prison. His fellow inmates would have saved us the trial.

No. The problem is not executing criminals guilty of a capital crime. The problem is feeding the remains to a pig.

There's a difference there and that's what I'm talking about.

I’d feed them to the pigs ALIVE and put it on the net for ISIS to watch.

What part of this arent you getting?
