I have encountered articles and discussions suggesting that fearing terrorist is irrational, even bordering on paranoia. The major source of that fear is the notion of a terrorist possessing a nuclear weapon. We cannot ignore the potential of millions beheaded in a moment.
I have also encountered articles and discussions suggesting that fearing global warming is irrational, even bordering on paranoia. The major source of that fear is the notion of a rise in sea levels. We cannot ignore the potential of relocating millions of people in the future.
From the collected essays and reviews of J.B.Kelly, titled: Islam Through the Looking Glass (chapter 2, Pg. 32) The following essay was initially printed in The New Republic on July 26, 1980:
The nerveless acquiescence of the Western nations in the frequency of oil price rises since the Tehran confrontation of 1971 has been prompted in the main by the hope that the acquiescence will gain them security of oil supplies. It will, of course, do nothing of the kind. All that continual surrender does is to strengthen the financial weapon in the economic armory of the Middle Eastern oil states. But there are even more insidious dangers to the West in the inexorable accumulation of great wealth by these states than the threat to its economic health. Because this wealth has been obtained without effort on the part of the states in question, it has had a profoundly corrupting influence upon their governments and upon numbers of their subjects, a corruption made all the more inevitable by the nature of Arab and Iranian society. As greater riches are amassed, the process of corruption will intensify, hastening the spread of instability in Arabia, Iran and the Gulf. It is doubtful whether at an time in the history of mankind a group of intrinsically insignificant polities, at a comparatively primitive stage of economic, political, and social development, has possessed such enormous financial power as the handful of Gulf states now dispose of. As the governments of the Gulf states are moved to employ this power for political and other purposes abroad, the corruption will spread beyond the Gulf, influencing and disturbing governments and societies in lands far removed from them in customs, culture and religion.
It is beyond our scope here to examine at any length the injurious effects of Arab and Iranian oil money upon the West. That the contagion already has entered the body of the West can be confirmed by the merest glance. It is present in financial and commercial circles, though its workings are rarely exposed to public view. It has penetrated politics and government, especially in Britain, France and the United States, where the spectacle of high-ranking ministers, officials, and politicians wheedling, flattering, and fawning upon the plutocrats of Arabia and Iran has become a daily occurrence. To the Western public, growing increasingly uneasy and dejected at the progress of the contagion, it is glibly explained by their rulers and by those in public life to whom they look for instruction and guidance that the contagion does not exist; or if it does, that it is benign; or if it is not benign, then there is nothing to be done about it.
Déjà vu sigh. Insert appropriate Santayana quote about history ignored here.
I view it all as entertainment...it’s the only way to achieve a degree of happiness. The zeitgeist is what it is in spite of my efforts or desires. It is a good time to be old and I won’t waste time trying to fool myself in to believing that it is going to get better anytime soon.
Enjoy your memories of what America used to be, you’ll never see it again.
All the scaremongers 'pseudo-science' arguments have been repeatedly debunked, and their fraudulent 'facts' revealed over and over and we still need to argue about this one?
A great summary of the present state of the fraud is made in Climate Change: The Facts, Edited by Alan Moran, Stockade Books, 2015.
The Contribution By Richard S. Lindzen (Chapter 3) alone is worth the price of admission.
I look forward for a refutation of those facts by the Alarmists, but, as usual, always based on their phony useless computer models, citing "facts" as of the year 2090...
I don’t know if ‘fear’ is the right word, but I’m really no longer as fearful or concerned about things like terrorism, Putin, China, nuclear war, etc., as I used to be.
Not when America itself is being transformed before my eyes into a kind of one-party, totalitarian banana-republic, with a culture so grotesquely vile and depraved that it no longer seems to even merit the effort to salvage it as a country. This renders all those outside dangers rather moot, from my perspective.
Devastating Rising Sea Level Fraud Rebuttal --- by a real Science Expert
I fear weakening patriots.
Exactly.
Sea levels began to rise 18k years ago at the end of the last glacial period. They have risen about 135 meters since then which is an average of 7.5 millimeters per year. That is an average of 750 mm per century (29.5 inches) which is far more than the average over the last century.
From 1880 to 2000 sea level rose about 20 cm or just under 8 inches. Far far less than the nearly 30 inches per century average over the last 18,000 years.
You should fear becoming a minority in your own country. You should fear for the future of your White children in a third-world country.
I fear a terrorist nuclear attack less than a nuclear conflict caused caused by the United States going to war with Russia over ‘gay rights,’ ‘democracy,’ or some other similar pretext.
While Islamic political control of the United States is unlikely, it is plausible that France with its nukes could have an Islamic friendly government at some point. That is a ‘terror nuke’ worth considering.
I fear God, and Him alone.
Global warming is a fraud, created for monetary gain upon the sentimentalities of those tree huggers, and the imbeciles that have annointed the news-readers and politicians, to be fountains of truth.
I have seen mohameddan actions, while in SouthEast Asia.
Actions taken against folks who live a Buddhist lifestyle.
The sword of ‘allah’ has bene wielded and bloodied, in the term of ‘jihad’, against all who have not submitted themselves to ‘allah’, or the precepts, thereof.
I do not fear them.
They are, and have been America’s enemies since the time of Jefferson, by their own admittance, period.
They have already attacked us, twice.
I look forward, with brutal honesty and disgust, in knowing that in this present moment of time, it will not be stopped, and yes, it will be an attack upon many lives, but as to which means of delivery, there are too many to discount.
Don’t fear the Reaper

YOU set the rules so we can validate YOUR irrational fear ?
Not interested in playing “let’s pretend” games, thanks.
Now that I really fear. The Dear Leader at his finest.
A sea question. Got one, silly gurl?
I put that video together some time ago.
I found that the timing between 0bama’s words and the lyrics along with the music was perfect.
Some people can’t hear both at the same time.
I may have been inspired by watching some old black & white movie. A film that had the two primary characters involved in deep discussion and in the background was a TV or radio program that was describing their situation at the same time.
I wish I could recall the movie.
It’s an overload of stimulus that I am going for.
The end game is to totally subjugate the People and once America falls, the rest of the world tags along like spit oozing out of a overturned spittoon...
So which do you fear more?
