DAMASCUS, Syria (AP) - Syria's state news agency says the country's air defense forces have shot down a U.S. reconnaissance aircraft.
SANA says the aircraft was downed Tuesday north of the coastal city of Latakia. It provided no further details.

But, but, but.....I thought that Syria was in concurrence with our efforts against ISIS?
You have it backwards. We built ISIS to attack Assad. We supplied them through Benghazi, then we were going to bomb on their behalf after McCain met with them. But then Putin stopped Obama. In the meantime ISIS has gone full Nazi genocidal. So now Obama is kinda mad at them, but not too mad. So Obama stamps his little gay feet and has one or two bombs a day dropped somewhere ISIS isn’t, to show how mad we are. And now we are talking about bombing ISIS, AND Syrian forces sometimes. (yes, both sides)
Kerry is running around saying we want to talk it out and transition to Assads departure. But Assad saw the fates of Mubarack, Khaddaffi, Milosevich, and Saddam. SO he isn’t too keen on just walking away, that’s very unhealthy and all.
So that’s why we flew a drone over. And now we are standing in slack jawed amazement that someone shot it down.
