Police surveillance video shown publicly for the first time Tuesday shows Secret Service agents in their government vehicle driving through the secured area and nudging a temporary barrier at low speed as it drove toward a checkpoint. The incident occurred as on-duty officers and agents investigated a suspicious package thrown near the White House on March 4 – and an accompanying threat that it contained a bomb. The House Oversight Committee showed the video from the Washington Metropolitan Police Department during a hearing on Capitol Hill. Secret Service Director Joseph Clancy was testifying for the third time about the incident, in which two senior agents are accused of drinking before driving into the White House complex and pushing the barrier with the SUV's bumper.

Geez they’ll sensationalize anything. As long as no one got hurt, killed, or somehow security was compromised; this should be a non-issue. Just reprimand or dismiss the agents for being intoxicated and move on.
An average citizen should not be able to get away from a DUI charge but a Kennedy or Democrat mayor’s daughter can always count on it.
The last average citizen that ran into a barrier near the white hut was shot.
I wonder how morale is in the SS. It can’t be good. 24 hours a day you have to pack golf clubs and jet off to yet another fund raiser or lunch with Jay Z.
If I saw them out and out somewhere I would gladly give them a couple of cases of beer or whatever else they preferred. I don’t drink, but taking care of the useless hunk of flesh currently occupying the Whitehouse must be a terrible strain. I think it is only fair that they should be allowed to be stoned out of their minds while doing it.
Loggers have a much tougher job and suffer a far greater number of occupational deaths per 100,000 should we also let loggers drive around drunk out their gourds with no legal repercussions? Or should we be a nation of laws and not men and hold all equally responsible in front of the law?
I am sorry that I forgot to use the sarcasm tag. My brother-in-law is a logger and before I became a firefighter I spent eight years working in a lumber mill. I don't drink or use any mind altering drugs. Although I have to admit that despite my sarcasm I couldn't care less if the guys assigned to protect Obama are a bunch of blithering idiots. None of our enemies want him dead because they know he is doing more harm to our country than they could do with a dozen 9-11 type of attacks.
