I’ve been using a smartwatch for months and the Apple Watch makes mine look like garbage

I am a die hard defender of wearables.

Back in September when I made the switch (one I regret) to a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 from my dead iPhone 5, I decided to get a smartwatch.

After doing a bunch of research I decided to get the Samsung Gear Fit.

As I've written before, I absolutely love this thing. I paid $107 for it and feel like it's been worth every penny. Notifications are fantastic — short, sweet, comprehensive, customizable. It's curved screen and bright display are stylish and attractive. Fitness tracking isn't perfect, but very solid.

For $100 this is a great smartwatch, and I don't feel comfortable going anywhere without it.

Apple Watch reviews came out in full force on Wednesday and we're getting our best viewpoint yet of what this thing is actually going to be like to use. Many of the reviews are largely skeptical and tip the scales negative.

I've read many of the reviews, and took their criticisms into account. If I am convinced of one thing it's this: The Apple Watch is going to be amazing.

The Sport version of the Apple Watch is three times the price of my smartwatch, but packs 20 times the looks, 20 times the functionality, and 20 times the technology. It seems like a fantastic device.

Paid Ad.

Not just for Apple, but for all smartwatches.

Why doesn’t someone call theirs the “Watch of the Beast”?

I’ve found Apple products to be crap across the board, and the attendant software is even worse.

It looks like you would expect a smartwatch to look like. I have never seen one in person, but the Moto 360 really looks like it could be something you would actually wear.

I won’t buy one, I don’t even wear a dumbwatch. But I hope lots of people do and keep driving Apple’s stock price up up up

Since I have an iPhone 6, I am actually contemplating getting an 42 mm aluminum with Space Grey watchband Apple Watch Sport model—if I’m not to taken aback by the US$399 price.

Is the Apple watch a phone replacement or another interface for the phone? If the later it will die just like the competing smart watches and google glasses. A second interface for the phone is just not a killer app.

Apple does not respect my support for the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, therefore, I will not support any of their “Gay” products !

Oh goody. Expensive redundant tech. I’ll wait until it replaces the phone.

I like the concept, but the problem is that they have to be fairly large and therefore won’t fit a woman’s wrist (without making her look like she’s in the middle of “gender reassignment”!). I think that when holographic technology is perfected and a small watch can project a larger, readable image on demand, these watches will take off.

I find it quite ironic that Apple led the smartphone revolution, which was the death knell for people wearing watches, and now they are getting people to buy watches from them.

I think there is someone at Apple HQ laughing their behinds off about that.

Well its sad when this guy writes an article about a device he’s not even had time to use, and then tells us how incredible it is without even elaborating as to why.

But then when you are told to write an ad in the form of an article, what could anyone expect?
