Wow. That’s almost a thousand a day, or one every eighty-six seconds.

...why cant they just cheat the signatures or go to the closest cemetery and register them like the old fashion liberal way?

I think they got caught at this plant (iirc) doing at least the former, signatures not matching, etc.

In one of the books I read on the auto industry, the Ford vs. Nissan one, iirc, some engineers at a Ford PA plant came in on a weekend and cut 0.5" off each of the spacer bars used to separate the cars on the assembly line.

Production went up, and the union went nuts for a while trying to figure out how, timing and re-timing the speed of the line.

Last month, this same union tried to organize the flight attendants at Delta but had to withdraw because some of the cards were of dubious origin.

“The union said its organizers encountered a “toxic environment” in South Carolina.”

I don’t doubt that, but they can hardly blame that on Boeing, now can they? South Carolinians are still quite familiar with what unionization did to the textile industry there a few decades ago, namely sent the entire industry packing to China.

“Two organizers were threatened at gunpoint during home visits to gauge support and urge votes for unionization, and others reported “near-violent confrontations,” it said.”

I reckon the union gauged those folks as belonging in the “no support” column, huh?
