Referees last night turning a blind eye. Down 1-0, the Penguins got a shorthanded breakaway. Our player was hooked and nothing was called. Shortly after, the Rangers go up 2-0.
I’m not saying it was guaranteed we would have scored on the breakaway. But, damn, c’mon league. Why even have penalties if the most egregious cases where an illegal action gives an unfair advantage aren’t called?

Rangers won? I saw the score at one point and they were ahead.

Yes, the Penguins were down 2-0 entering the third, and threw everything but the kitchen sink at ‘em. They got one goal, but couldn’t get the tying goal.

Mike Milbury who ALWAYS shills for the Pens, was furious last night, but he didn’t call out the refs. it was funny, bc Paula and I both commented to each other on it via text and how he would NEVER have used that tone in re the Caps. I am personally rooting for the Pens bc, in the unlikely event we make it out of this round, we would prefer to meet the Pens rather than the Rangers.

Game was 2-1. The series is now also 2-1 Rangers. They will play tomorrow in Pittsburgh, then alternate cities until someone wins 4 games.
