Bloodthirsty cow starts eating sheep

A once-vegterian dairy cow in Kenya has started to attack and eat sheep, killing and eating two last week in Miti Mingi Village, Nakuru County. No one knows why the rogue cow has started to feast on sheep, but theories run from the cow not getting enough fresh grass during the dry season to the cow being possessed.

After the first sheep was killed, owner Charloes Mamboleo gave the killer cow more food and water. But the next day, with an apparent taste for blood, Killer Cow (KC) struck again. Mamboleo’s wife, Consepta Kerubo is now worried KC will go after their kids.

KC is not the first cow to eat meat, either out of desire or necessity. In 2007, Reuters reported on an Indian cow that feasted on live chickens. And here is a 1931 article from TIME in which a meat-eating cow produced really great cream. There is much to be found on the internet about cows NEVER eating meat, no matter what.

Chickens don't care what they eat. When I was a pup, we used to catch snakes (the small, harmless variety), empty mouse traps and even toads to throw in with the chickens. It was fun entertainment.

One thing I always liked about chickens is that they were grateful creatures. You could even bring them in rotten, foul smelling spoiled food and they'd act like you just brought them a gourmet meal.
