Interesting. Brazil has interesting areas, like the very German areas.
Still, after the Civil War my Grandma’s family left Mississippi and went to Texas, not Brazil.
I think my forebears made a better decision.
But, in 50 years will that still be the case?

Had some family there. Their reason for leaving was everything was messed up in the aftermath of the war, economy was crap, rampant and institutionalized lawlessness, couldn't make a living in that atmosphere, so they said Eff this place, the land grants were too good to pass up. They used to send up fruit baskets for the family at Christmas every year.

I’m halfway making plans. I doubt seriously if the USA can be saved.
