On April 25, 2015 a random face-to-face poll was conducted in St. Augustine, Florida, testing the strength of two potential presidential candidates. The question was Who would you vote for Sarah Palin or Jeb Bush? The results are as follows:
1. Palin 55% 2. Bush 37% 3. Neither 8%

The following observations were made during the polling: 1) Women were more likely to vote for Palin than Bush. 2) Age did not seem to be a factor.3) Young Libertarians, who would have been horrified a few years ago to vote for a conservative, a neocon, were far more likely to vote for Palin because they are looking for someone real.4) In fact, the public polled generally has great affection for Sarah because they perceive that she is a real person who would look out for their interests and not her own. She demonstrated that in Alaska. The public believe she stands for American values and decency; she speaks truth to power.
Over and above the fact that Palin won over Bush in this poll, is the realization that the Medias negative characterization of Palin failed to convince the public who participated in this poll.
Well, she was the governor of a nearby state...
Among Real Conservatives, this isn't even a contention.
Jeb Bush,great governor,but a common core whore.
Now THAT’S the ticket....!
Yeah, I don’t think Palin’s numbers in Florida are better than Jeb’s.
I’d like to see some internals on this poll.
I bet they don’t exist.
I say this as someone who gives to SarahPAC and who likes Sarah. But this is not a poll to be trusted.
Sorry.
Are any two states further apart?
Other than Hawaii I guess.
Doesn’t mean anything. People will always vote heavily for anyone not running in this situation.
If Palin thought she could win, she’d run. She probably has a better handle on it than most of us observers.
I completely believe this poll.
Absolutely.
Thus the joke.
If the general electorate consists only of people who vacation in St. Augustine, FL, Palin would win in a landslide.
If Palin thought she could win, shed run.

I’ve heard nothing, and seen nothing from the Palin camp to indicate they’re planning to enter the race this time around.
That said,... I’ve heard nothing, and seen nothing from the Palin camp to indicate they’re (not) planning to enter the race this time around.
If Palin is going to run this time, I believe she would do things dramatically different than she did last time.
I don’t yet know that she’s not running.
I strongly ask her to seriously consider putting her name on the ballot.
There are a LOT of us, who would like nothing more than to elect her as our next President.
She is great. He husband is outstanding. Her family is good, and she has a lot of talent at leadership.
Run, Palin.
“If Palin thought she could win, shed run. She probably has a better handle on it than most of us observers.”
I believe that you are correct about her understanding of the situation. I also think she might be able to win, but the chances are low.
Sarah Palin had struck me as extremely smart and savvy. I think she would do what is best for the country, which might be to promote other conservatives in primaries. It is what she did with Cruz.
It says, face to face, taken on one day in St. Augustine, so probably simply “man in the street” questions.
Isn’t St. Augustine a red area?
I know you’re a strong Palin supporter, though you are convinced she’s not going to run, so you’re supporting Ted Cruz.
I understand completely. I just think there is still a (lot) of time left before we need to decide on our candidate.
Palin may not run this time. Palin however could surprize a whole bunch of people, stand up and make a go at the Whitehouse.
Just keep an eye on her.
She’s a very natural leader. She’s not currently making (any) sort of effort to promote herself.
But I think she’s got enough support out here, she doesn’t have to be doing anything yet.
We shall see.
I think Alaska is closer to Hawaii than it is to Florida.
My crude graphical measurements show Alaska to be about 300 miles closer to Hawaii than to Florida.
Dream Team
If Palin were to announce tomorrow i would immediately start seeing some major withdrawls from my bank account.
