1) Mayweather, love him or hate him, is one of the most technical/tactical boxers.
2) It would be hard to beat Mayweather on points in Vegas, which means Manny would have to TKO/KO Mayweather.
3) Mayweather is incredibly hard to knock out.
Several boxers had said the same prior to the fight, and it came to be. Manny had to knock out Mayweather, and that is hard to do.
Floyd Mayweather kept Manny Pacquaio at arm’s length for 12 rounds before prevailing in a unanimous decision to improve to 48-0.

I watched. I agree with the guy that had it 117-111.
I think a lot of people picked Manny because they wanted him to win rather than objectively believing he would. I knew Manny had no chance (his best bet would have been to go all out for the knockout, from the beginning). Maybe 5 years ago it would have been different, but he’s lost his mojo while Mayweather is still good at his game.
Mayweather banned several reporters who had questioned him over beating his wife.
I had a stream open well before it started, I accidentally hit a key on the keyboard and messed it up and I couldn’t get another one to work until round 2, I almost gave up!

I wanted Manny to win, because as far as I’ve seen, he’s a Gentleman.
Since my father died in the mid-seventies and I’ve watched what has happened to boxing, I’ve known that my Dad is spinning in his grave.
Boxing was once a Gentleman’s Sport...and my father was boxing during that time. He would have abhorred the public and private behavior of so many boxers today; and all of the ‘showmanship’; (not to mention ear-biting, bragging...&c)

I wouldn’t watch 100 bucks to see any fight, unless it involved Ted Cruz beating the crap out of Obama, I would pay 1000 bucks to see that :-)
Physical size won this fight, arm length and height for Maypole. I did not see any exceptional boxing skills from him. All he had to do is keep Manny out of range and throw some punches. He did not outbox the little guy and he did not hurt him either.
I was quite surprised at the beginning of the fight the physical differences. Maypole had much wider shoulders, longer arms and looked more highly muscled in the upper body. Hard to believe they were the same weight class.
