Talk about a glowing review: one five-star review given to a light-up USB cable for sale on Amazon had a headline claiming that this product

Who can we sue for the fake in the White House?
Amazon should also stop doing business with any seller that pays for reviews and remove them from their site
I give this post 5 stars
Most of the reviews I pay attention to are noted as “verified purchase” and I am more interested in the bad reviews than the glowing ones.
Good for amazon taking after someone who is trying to game their best tool for evals.

“Most of the reviews I pay attention to are noted as verified purchase and I am more interested in the bad reviews than the glowing ones.”
In the good old days I would read the 5 star reviews as well as the one star reviews, and the reviews in between, in order to help me decide whether or not I wanted to buy the product. Each review, whether they were bad or good, would give very good specific detail as to why the reviewer liked it or hated it. Bad or good, I even enjoyed reading many reviews.
Now, the reviews are absolutely clogged with hundreds of phony 4-5 star reviews. I have to wade and constantly scroll through hundreds of unhelpful phony one or two reviews to get to the real ones.
“Great book!”
Excellent book!”
“Fine!”
“Wonderful!”
I am glad to see that Amazon knows that reviews are a large part of their success. I have read many reviews there and half the time I will but via Amazon. But even when I buy somewhere else the Amazon reviews are usually my guide
“Who can we sue for the fake in the White House?”
The media, the congress, the previous administration. The
problem is, they have stacked the courts with judges that
wont allow it.
When I read reviews on technology at amazon the ones which influence me have detail, pro’s & cons detail. I always ignore the glowing reviews which tell me nothing.
Amazon has a function by which you can ask a question about the product and the question is emailed to those who wrote reviews. The answers to those emails are always straightforward and prompt, and from real customers.
Trick question. As REAL AMERICAN CITIZENS, the (corrupt) courts have ruled we no standing to sue.
I would not be in the least surprised that, were illegal Mexicans to sue claiming that his illegitimate election harmed them in some fashion, SCOTUS would give them standing.
Amazon’s ?’s on products can provide some excellent answers, warnings and positives on tech products and reliability on tech and non tech products.
I use the system to post the latest and lowest ratings.
Often, there are consistent problems that have not been corrected.
Big online sites often have great prices on discontinued items with uncorrected problems. This way I can avoid buying junk!

There is technology coming out to ensure that reviews are not contrived or faked, but the actual review from the actual purchaser.
