The Feathered Pen award

It is hard to be Hillary
And seek approbation
When you know you despise
The entire nation.

You want to be different
To appear more exotic
While seeming more common
And more demotic.

The one time you weren’t
In a true sinecure:
First Lady defending
Ole Bill, the impure.

Just noticed I awarded 2 third place medallions. Call it a tie, not for third but for pure excellence.

It’s with approbation that Obama speaks to his demotic.
Most sane folks fear it’s all demonic.
His sinecure should be honorable
Instead he’s barely tolerable.
So we make do with some gin and tonic.

Thank you-in my idea of a perfect world, a president would be treated just like the CEO of a major corporation,
congress would be the board of directors and we the people would be the stockholders. If any CEO of a corporation screwed up like Obama has-causing stockholders to lose that much on shares, those stockholders would be howling for his removal, and the board of directors would see to it...

Gin and tonic was my dad’s favorite, next to beer-if he were here to see all this madness, he would probably be indulging in both a lot...

Well, if people didn’t commit adultery so often, they would need sinecures for VD so often....

It started storming just after 5AM-with thunder so close and loud it shook the place and woke up Husky girl and the cats-it kept that up until 8 with still spaces of maybe 20 minutes-Hughesnet and DirecTV were both down, so I couldn’t get weather on TV or the internet.

As soon as it let up and I wasn’t afraid of getting struck by lightning-been there, done that once and do NOT want to repeat the experience-I put on my boots to go hiking-and the trail by the river is under rushing water full of floating tree limbs-it must have really poured someplace upriver for that to happen-my rain gauge only had 2 inches in it...

We have had rain like that twice this past week. My wireless service was out because birds pecked out the leds on the radio on my antennae and the rain shorted it out.

We’ve had rain off and on all week, too-but this is the first one that has sent the river up like that and closed low water crossings-that hasn’t happened out here in several years-hope that means the drought is breaking...

I just walked down toward the river again-the water has started to drop a bit, but it will probably be a couple of days before that hiking trail is not under water, and it is the only trail I can get to from right here-if I want to hike, I’ll have to walk up the road to the park and choose one of the other trails that start there.

There is a 50% chance of more rain, and it is overcast-but I’m still going to light the grill for some chicken...

Whadyaknow a threefer

approbation, demotic, sinecure:

Demotic: What the Obama administration is and the source of their evilness

Approbation: What the Obama administration should get after 30 years in prison.

Sinecure: An antihistamine spray.

The Demotic Obamas were convicted today of multiple counts of treason and corruption. They will be eligible for parole in 35 years but approbationary period is likely to last for a time after that. Due to the prison drug rules the Presidents bottle of Sinecure was confiscated.
