I thought some of it sounded like a Shofar too. Kind of got me excited. Sent chills.
It’s aliens working on their broken down spacecraft that have all been made invisible. Unfortunately they do not know how to deaden the sound of their repair tools. Maybe a couple of miles up...(As good as any other tin foil hat explanation)

I hear a lot of spooky sounds out there. Especially in winter when everything is pitch dark and brutally cold. Sometimes I think I can hear the Earth itself moaning. A couple mornings, I got so freaked out that I ran back into the house.
The only thing I have heard is those mysterious Booms heard around the world.
Yes I am excited when I first listen to it, I thought OMG it sounds like a Shofar. In the bible the Shofar was used as a war trumpet (Wall of Jericho) and also in 1967 in Israel when Jerusalem was taken back.
How ironic, that these mysterious boom and the Shofar sounds in the sky began in the Summer of 2011. Now what happen that year? ISIS?
I am excited about it and do not fear it because it just means the Lord is approaching, and all those who are against God - Judgement is near.
it is a truth because it has been heard by millions of people from all cultures all over the globe
there is no explanation that I have seen, no serious scientific discussion, sadly
people here in my state have reported it, I have tried but have not heard it
so these discussions mostly devolve into boring jokes as if millions of people saying they never heard anything like it are all scammers or idiots
And here I was thinking it was tinnitus the whole time. LoL
It’s really interesting. These sounds excite my imagination and make me ponder the religious connotations. Setting aside the religious, I assume it’s some undocumented scientific effect, maybe geological. Would love to hear it for myself.

I think in some cases it is the sound of drilling equipment underground digging tunnels. Sometimes it echos off hills and valleys and you get different pitches in different reflections so it sounds “choral.”
In the 1950’s they were stripmining in the hills above our town in east Ohio. The huge diesel machines dug into the ground at full throttle & made a galloping noise that echoed at night. Older kids would frighten younger ones by saying “Here comes the Headless Horseman!!’
Glenn Beck discussed this at length today. One caller said it was the Lord sounding His shofar.
