I have NEVER been able to stand even two minutes of watching that freak show, BUT, when an outgoing bulldyke POS police chief, ILLEGALLY, releases sealed information about a juvenile, then I have a serious problem!
Based on the reports I’ve seen, the police chief sought legal advice from the city’s FOIA attorney, and released the redacted report based on that advice.
So, if I’m understanding you correctly, out of this whole situation, you think it is the release of the redacted police report that we should be outraged over? Not the molestation? Not the cover up of said molestation (or, to put it another way, the parents’ failure to take adequate action upon becoming aware of the molestation)? But the release of the police report. Well, those are some priorities you have there.
Or, Megyn Kelly is trying to piggyback off the In Touch reports, since it broke this last week.
And, face it: the Duggars do this for a living. This is part and parcel of what the Duggars signed on for.
Anyone who thinks that they can make money in the public eye and then turn down publicity they don't like are living in fantasy land.
It wasn’t illegal.
It wasn’t sealed because it was still an open case.
It was still an open case because the family clammed up to keep their son from serving any punishment for his crimes.
Thus, no judge sealed it.
It was open.
And here we are.
I read last week that when the family allowed the statute of limitations run out, the case was not sealed because no judge was there to seal it.
If he’d been prosecuted, it would have been sealed as part of the case, but it wasn’t, and so it remained open.
The family could have still moved to seal it, but they didn’t.
In this case, since it was one of the victims who put a note in a book pleading for help years later, it sounds like the girls were never protected and wanted help more than anything. They knew that the note would be seen, and that others would know.
So, there are worse things than having this come to light, as bad as this is for those girls.
From the story tonight, these girls have parents who three times allowed their rapist to violate them.
We should all pray that they are safe now.
Sheriff’s department released it and this report has less information redacted or so I read elsewhere.

I still feel okay about it becoming public information. There are still young girls in his care (his own) and he is still allowed around his sisters.
His parents gave him chance after chance after chance. Where was their concern for the victims? Where were their chances to have a childhood free of abuse

What the victims say about their brother now doesn't matter.
Roman Polanski's victim, who he raped and sodomized after he drugged her, does not want him punished. She was angry that the police were called.
Woody Allen's victim married him and doesn't speak to her mother or siblings who wanted to get her help.
We don't determine the severity of the crime by how the victim reacts years later.
But if you want to use the same excuse that Whoopi Goldberg did for Roman Polanski - that it wasn't rape because the victim is okay now and didn't complain then (or now) go right ahead. We are known by the company we keep.

I watched Megyn interview legal eagles
I saw Megyn interview the parents and the teaser with the girls about tomorrow nite
I find Megyn cute but fembot and homo loving and spouting all the same canards about child sexual abuse exaggerations while of coursze ignoring what a preponderance of child abusers and victims are same sex scenarios
However it does give you a chance to watch it all I’ll admit
A) what josh did is disgusting and off the charts abnormal and may not be all admitted.... That’s my gut instinct

Maybe he was born twisted. Maybe the legalistic sect that they belong to cut him off from more normal outlets and made him worse. But who knows. You can’t have teenage males molesting little girls and the parents bear the blame for not getting him out of the household when this was first discovered.

I think it’s now a criminal offense to make disparaging remarks, even truthful ones, against Team Lavender.
Who knows what that the 20-25% molestation rate for girls means? It could be totally made up. It could be by counting when some 14 yr old boy cops a feel from his 14 yr old girlfriend when she only wants to kiss him. Numbers don’t lie, but if you torture them enough they will confess to anything.

I agree with much you have to say....
....however I sat there last night with my very discerning husband and we both found the Duggars totally believable and transparent.
I grew up with people like the Duggars, and they are salt of the earth.
Without sin?....No!....none of us are.
But the people I knew....who remind me of the Duggars.....trusted in the Lord and tried to live clean lives.
What more can a parent do, if they conscientiously try to raise their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord, according to Biblical standards?
We in a very fallen world...... We are all broken at some level.
There are some, even on this forum, who will never forgive this family......
I pray for the Duggars.....I know they will survive....

Non Christians like I assume Kelly with her line of questioning always play this notion that one should be pure to criticize aberrant behavior
Mrs Duggar last night should have simply said we find child molesting and transgender and homosexuality to be sins or undesired behavior and yes one has happened to us

I don’t find a single issue of disagreement with your post.
The oddness of the Duggars, for me, has never had to do with the size of their family, although that’s usually the first accusation made when one disagrees with them.
I watched until the father said sibling sexual abuse had occurred in many of the families they knew, and then I turned it off. Since they primarily are acquainted with other Gothard types, that may be the case, but I’m just not buying that such abuse is routine among families.
I also noted the way the mom gazed at the dad, like an oracle.
Yes, those girls are pretty——the oldest (?), Jessa, is model-beautiful.
